This is a voluntary role requiring attendance at six 2-hour Board meetings each year, held in Edinburgh and online. Support and induction will be provided.
The Treasurer supports the Board in maintaining financial oversight and helps achieve the charity’s financial objectives.

By joining Chest Heart and Stroke Scotland (CHSS) as a Community Stroke Nurse you can be the difference between people just surviving and really living.
This is a home-based role within Scotland, ideally suited to candidates in Grampian or Moray, although applicants may be based outside the NHS Grampian area. You will provide remote support to service users and collaborate with the team to deliver care across the region.
You will be part of Scotland’s leading charity providing support to people with Chest, Heart and Stroke conditions and Long Covid to live life to the full again. Our Community Healthcare Support Services provide access to a range of supported self-management and community recovery services to support people across Scotland to manage their health as well as possible and adjust to life after a diagnosis of a chest or heart condition or after a stroke.
The Stroke Nurse plays a key role in supporting a seamless transition from hospital back into the community for people who have expereinced a stroke and their families. The role focuses on helping individuals adjust to life after stroke by providing personalised information, advice and emotional support. A core part of the role is enabling people to develop confidence in self management, supporting them to build the skills and knowledge needed to manage their condition, maxinmise independence and improve their long term wellbeing.
The Stroke Nurse will also help deliver the evidence-based, six-week Chronic Disease Self-Management Programme, supporting people to build confidence and skills in managing their long-term health.
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who is organised and motivated, with good communication skills. Candidates must have a first level general nursing qualification and have a minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience in either a hospital or community setting. Experience working with people affected by stroke is essential.

Background Information
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of paid and volunteer staff to further develop our Energy Advice service. Clackmannanshire Citizens Advice Bureau, based in Alloa, is an independent and innovative advice organisation providing holistic advice to the residents of Clackmannanshire across 7 locations in the county. We currently have 25 paid staff and 14 volunteers who provide a wide range of services, across our projects.
We have been delivering a valuable, high-level service to the community of Clackmannanshire for over 50 years. We have accreditation in Type III advice by Scottish National Standards for advice providers (SNSIAP) in the areas of Housing, Energy, Debt and Benefits.
All bureaux are members of Citizens Advice Scotland (the Scottish Association of CABx), and as such must meet specific conditions of membership related to standards of service and other matters. Each operates as an independent charity. This bureau is a limited company as well as a registered charity, governed by a board of directors/trustees.
About the Role
This role of Safe & Warm Energy Adviser has been funded since 2022 and is now extended until March 31st 2028 with the possibility of a further extension and provides an excellent opportunity based at our premises in Glebe Hall, Burgh Mews, Alloa.
We are looking for a highly motivated organised person with the drive and enthusiasm to build on the Bureau’s successful track record of supporting vulnerable people facing financial hardship. The Safe & Warm Adviser will help people experiencing problems with utility services make informed decisions, control their budgets and avoid fuel poverty.
In addition, there is a requirement to provide and maintain accurate records, provide statistical data and provide reports, as required, whilst managing their own workload. An understanding of the needs of our funders and their requirements is necessary.
Applicants should ideally be a suitably experienced worker able to publicise the project and to encourage self-referrals from other agencies. There is a requirement to have a knowledge of the process of project delivery with excellent interpersonal skills as partnership working in the voluntary and statutory sectors are required.
Applicants should also demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, enthusiasm, strong social awareness and an excellent team player, be well organised and be proficient in using a range of IT tools to carry out their work, including case recording systems, Microsoft Office.
This post specifically exists to ensure the delivery of an ongoing Energy Advice Service within Clackmannanshire Citizens Advice Bureau. It will involve providing support to staff and volunteers who also deliver the service. This post supports the ongoing learning and development of a high-quality service by ensuring provision of training to staff/volunteers in conjunction with our General Services Supervisor.
Consideration maybe given to individuals who do not meet the full requirements of the post, but who could be trained in a reasonable period this will be offered at below the entry level salary initially.

About Us – North Lanarkshire Alcohol and Other Drugs Outreach Service
The North Lanarkshire Alcohol and Other Drugs Crisis Outreach Service, provides support to individuals who are over the age of 16. The service model is based on The Overdose response Teams, (please see our website for indigo house report).
The service has 3 main parts of delivery these are:
Our Crisis Outreach operates from 10am to 10pm (7 days per week) on a 12 hour shift pattern. (4 days one week and 3 days the next, 2 weekends in 4).
The support we provide is always person centred, we do this by involving people who know the person well, this includes family and friends, other health and Social Work professionals, Advocacy services and our own staff members.

Job Information
We are seeking qualified and enthusiastic individuals to help support a safe, welcoming, neutral and child friendly environment where children and young people can have contact with their parents. These roles have flexibility and sessional staff can be based in Glasgow, or Kilmarnock, or both.
Sessional workers will be working within centres and overseeing both Supervised Child Contact and Supported Child Contact. Sessions will require professional reporting, note taking, forming statistical records and evaluations of work undertaken; these aspects will form the basis of Court Reports and Progress Forms for each case. In addition, Child Contact Sessional workers will work in pairs and provide support should there be situations of conflict between parents and / or children. Sessional Workers will maintain a caseload of clients and will be responsible for ensuring that case discussions and case reviews are held regularly.
This role will include supported training and shadowing with a senior practitioner; timescales of training will vary dependent on experience. Ad hoc training courses will also be available for related courses that will enhance the service performance.

As a Community Cook you will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of food based activities including pop-up cafes, community meals, and community focussed workshops. You will be happy using your cooking skills to plan and prepare large meals using fresh produce, and able to share your skills and enthusiasm through the planning and delivery of cookery courses aimed at improving the cooking confidence and skills of local residents and their ability to make healthy food choices. You will develop classes and workshops which cover topics such as food waste reduction and cooking on a fixed budget, and will have an interest and enthusiasm for sharing diverse cooking cultures and traditions.
