The National Lottery Community Fund is recruiting a Chair / Co-Chair and between six and ten members to join the Lived, Learned and Professional (LLP) Advisory Group for our Supporting Change – Carers programme in Scotland.

This is an opportunity to help shape a programme focused on improving the health of unpaid carers. We are looking for people with lived, learned and/or professional experience of unpaid care who can bring insight, constructive challenge and a strong commitment to inclusion.

Supporting Change – Carers aims to tackle health inequalities affecting unpaid carers by addressing the root causes of long-term challenges through systems change. The programme is particularly interested in work that will:

  • support carers through changes in their role
  • make it easier to identify and support carers
  • improve support for carers who face additional barriers
  • change how unpaid care is understood and valued

The LLP Advisory Group is a short-term, non-decision-making advisory group established by the National Lottery Community Fund’s Scotland Committee. It will operate from August 2026 until March 2028 and will help ensure that lived, learned, and professional perspectives are reflected in programme learning, priorities and governance discussions.

Participation is flexible and designed to fit around caring responsibilities and other commitments. Most engagement will take place through a private Microsoft Teams space and occasional online meetings.

The Chair / Co-Chair will have additional responsibilities, including helping to convene discussions, shaping agendas with staff, and drawing together key insights from the group.

You do not need previous board, committee or chairing experience. We welcome applications from people with a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives, especially those underrepresented in formal governance spaces.

Location: Based in Scotland

Working from: Remote, with participation through Microsoft Teams and occasional online meetings

Remuneration: While the role is an unpaid and voluntary position, advisory group members will be remunerated in line with The National Lottery Community Fund’s Stakeholder Compensation Policy, with a higher rate for the Chair / Co-Chair to reflect the additional responsibilities of the role. Support is also available to reduce barriers to participation, including replacement care costs, reasonable adjustments, accessible materials and flexible engagement options.

Your remit will be designing and delivering digital skills workshops and training that will meet the needs of our community. You will support community members in group or one-to-one settings to build digital skills. You will play a vital role in working with our existing groups, as well as establishing new groups. As the organisation continues to grow its impact, Somebody Cares Scotland is now seeking an experienced and motivated Fundraising Development Lead to establish and lead its fundraising function. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future sustainability of the charity and play a key role in enabling its services to reach even more people in need.

The successful candidate will be the organisation’s dedicated fundraising professional, responsible for developing and implementing a fundraising strategy that creates sustainable income growth and long-term financial resilience. Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Board, you will identify opportunities across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, and other appropriate income streams, building the foundations of a successful fundraising programme from the ground up.

This includes implementing effective donor management and reporting systems, creating stewardship frameworks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all fundraising activity complies with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practice standards.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation, you will help articulate the impact of Somebody Cares Scotland’s work through compelling case studies, evidence-led storytelling, and meaningful supporter communications. You will also act as an ambassador for the charity, representing the organisation at networking opportunities, partnership meetings, and stakeholder events throughout the region.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of securing income through trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors, or related fundraising disciplines, together with a proven ability to manage the complete fundraising cycle. You will be a strategic thinker with excellent written communication skills, capable of translating complex operational activity into compelling cases for support that inspire confidence and investment.

This role offers 1:1 therapeutic counselling and support to survivors of sexual violence of any gender aged 13 upwards within the Forth Valley area.

We are a holistic service which offers survivors a safe and therapeutic space across their healing journey. We recognise the complexities in recovering from trauma and offer wraparound support from the point of referral through to the end of a survivor’s therapeutic and/or advocacy journey. Providing wrapround support via check-in calls and drop-in support are an integral part of the role of Counselling Support Worker.

We are seeking applications from qualified counsellors who have at least 12 months experience working directly with sexual violence, trauma or crisis intervention. An understanding of the gendered roles of sexual violence and the intersectional factors which can create barriers for survivors to access support is essential.
