About us
East Dunbartonshire Association for Mental Health (EDAMH) is a voluntary third sector organisation and charity that was established in 1999 to provide a community-based service for adults with mental health problems, living in East Dunbartonshire.
The CEDAR Project East Dunbartonshire is based in Kirkintilloch and managed by EDAMH. CEDAR (Children Experiencing Domestic Abuse Recovery) is a concurrent group work programme for children and young people aged 4-16yrs and their mothers who are in recovery from domestic abuse.
About this role of CEDAR Groupwork Co-ordinator
The post holder will co-ordinate and deliver the CEDAR Programme for families who have experienced domestic abuse. This will consist of project development, multi-agency co-ordination, assessing referred children and young people and their mothers to take part in groups, preparing and facilitating groups, training co-facilitators from partner agencies and analysis/evaluation of the programme. You will have an understanding of a gendered analysis of domestic abuse and the impact on children, young people and their mothers.
The post will be based in Kirkintilloch and cover work throughout East Dunbartonshire locality. Access to your own transport and a full driving licence is essential.

We are looking to recruit a Groupwork co-ordinator who are enthusiastic and motivated, with relevant experience of work with a domestic abuse focus.
You will have a minimum qualification of SVQ 3 Social Care Level 8 or SSSC approved equivalent, combined with relevant experience.
You will be able to demonstrate a caring attitude with excellent listening and communication skills. You will be able to develop a positive rapport with families, assist them to recognise and develop their individual strengths and skills so as to promote their sense of wellbeing and give them greater hope for the future.
To be successful in this post you will meet the essential criteria, experience, core competencies and skills listed in the role profile and be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering outcomes for vulnerable children and adults.
