About the Role:

The support we provide is always person-centred, trauma-informed and wellbeing focused. As an Intensive Recovery Support Worker, you’ll work in the community to provide a wide range of flexible intensive support to individuals to encourage independence to maintain and sustain a tenancy and adapt to community life.

Main Responsibilities:

This Intensive Recovery Support Worker role working in the West Dunbartonshire area combines settled housing with person-centred, strengths-based and flexible support. This role involves working 35 hours per week on a rota covering various shift patterns including select weekend work. This role operates across West Dunbartonshire, with an office based at our Alexandria service. The Intensive Recovery Support Worker will:

  1. To provide trauma-informed, person-centred, and wellbeing-focused support for people with lived or living experience of addiction, helping them to achieve their personal recovery goals.
  2. To support people transitioning from BT accommodation or other supported accommodation into the local community, helping them to manage their tenancy, to engage with all support services and to connect into organisations and groups that will help them on their personal recovery journey.
  3. To promote CHIME outcomes by bringing Connections, Hope, Identity, Meaning, and Empowerment to the people being supported.
  4. To work with local partner organisations to promote and develop a Recovery Orientated System of Care (ROSC) in West Dunbartonshire, working with all ADP partners to do so.
  5. To be there for people as Mentor, Navigator, Connector, and Advocate to support and equip them to grow in confidence and build recovery resilience.

About the Role:

As a Support Worker, you’ll work as part of a team in providing safe, secure, supported accommodation for the people who use our services. You’ll do this by providing practical and emotional support and encouraging them to achieve their own personal outcomes in all aspects of their daily lives.

Main Responsibilities:

This Support Worker role working at our Charles Brownlie Blantyre service involves working nightshifts on a rota that includes select weekend work. The working hours for this role are 35 hours per week, following an 8 week rolling rota.

The Support Worker will:

  • support, review, monitor and evaluate through our case management system, to achieve a positive person-centred outcome for the people we work with in line with organisational, statutory and legislative requirements.

  • provide, plan and facilitate key work meetings, key work sessions, meetings, reviews and other internal/external meetings in conjunction with the person’s support plan.

As a Functional Family Therapist, you'll be working in our Functional Family Therapy Team covering the South Ayrshire area. The Functional Family Therapy Team will provide weekly, home-based family therapy, utilising the Functional Family Therapy model with families with young people at risk of care or custody between the ages of 8 and 18.

Therapists will be required to carry a caseload of around 10 families, providing therapeutic support anywhere from 3 to 5 months in accordance with the Functional Family Therapy model. This position requires flexibility in hours to meet families the needs of the families we support, working Monday to Friday with some twilight hours required.

  • Learning and adhering to the FFT model to ensure a consistently high-quality service is offered.
  • Meeting families where they are and working with them to achieve positive change.

  • Participating in weekly group supervision in a supportive environment.

The Adult Counsellor will provide compassionate, person‑led emotional support to patients, families and carers affected by life‑shortening illness, grief and bereavement. Working within the Ayrshire Hospice Counselling and Bereavement Support Service, the post holder will assess individual needs, offer therapeutic counselling before and after bereavement, and support people as they navigate the emotional impact of illness, dying and loss.

As part of the multidisciplinary team, the post-holder will deliver high‑quality one‑to‑one, family and group support throughout all stages of the bereavement journey. They will contribute to the development of resources and programmes that enhance emotional wellbeing across the community, while working closely with the Spiritual Care Team and other hospice professionals to ensure holistic and integrated care.

By creating a safe, supportive and inclusive therapeutic space, the Counsellor will help individuals express their feelings, build coping strategies and move forward in a way that feels right for them.

Cairn is currently recruiting for Health & Safety Officer and Compliance Officer roles as part of our strong commitment to Health and Safety legal compliance and the safety of our staff and tenants across the Association. These are varied and fast-paced roles and ideal for someone who enjoys being visible and influencing a positive, proactive safety culture.

Reporting to the Compliance Manager this role will be responsible the planning and delivery of the Landlord Compliance activities through the management and administration of planned servicing activities, as well as responsibility for resolution any areas of non-compliance.

This includes liaison with colleagues in Maintenance, Investment and Health and Safety to advise on satisfactory solutions and ensure requirements are met. Officers will coordinate and monitor performance of service providers through a combination of external contracts or internal SLAs.

Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Do:

Specification & Procurement

  • Lead on the development and specifications of compliance activities
  • Undertake procurement exercises in line with regulatory requirements, procuring contracts and services to meet Cairn’s requirements

Data

  • Ensure that the Group’s compliance data records are maintained as accurate, accessible and up to date
  • Verify all necessary certification and evidence captured and retained in order to demonstrate compliance at all times

Policies & Procedures

  • Assist the Leadership Team in the periodic review, amendment and implementation of policies and procedures as required
  • Uphold a consistently high standard of service delivery and ensure compliance of statutory regulations, legal requirements and relevant codes of practice, guidance and good practice are achieved.

Contractor Management

  • Ensure that Health and Safety legislation, guidance and good practice are strictly adhered to
  • Manage and oversee the delivery of external contracts in the role of client project manager
  • Perform inspection, instruction and supervision of planned maintenance works
  • Lead on project progress reporting for planned compliance projects
  • Review, monitor and report on contractor and consultant service delivery and performance
  • Ensure all appropriate policies and procedures are consistently applied and implemented to specifications
  • Drive compliance to demonstrate the quality of works comply with industry standards, statutory regulations, guidance, good practice and Cairn HA standards

Budget Management

  • Monitor budgets for Compliance activities in conjunction with the Compliance Manager
  • Exercise financial control in line with delegated authority levels

Line Management

  • Provide support and guidance to Assistants in delivery of compliance activities
  • Monitor and oversee performance in line with Cairn performance reviews, training requirements and target setting

Strategic Planning

  • Produce reports to Compliance Manager to inform the strategic compliance and asset management planning process
  • Participate in the specification and proposal of programmes of work to deliver compliance activities

Requirements – What We’re Looking For:

  • Relevant building or construction related qualification to HND level
  • Comprehensive knowledge of H&S law and legislation
  • Demonstratable project management skills
  • Knowledge of the Scottish Housing Regulator’s Performance Standards
  • IT Literate in the use of housing management/CRM systems and proficient in Microsoft Office
