GCVS Recruitment Service is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of the newly established Glasgow Advice Partnership (GAP) for an exceptional Chief Executive Officer.
The Glasgow Advice Partnership (GAP) is a newly established, independent charity formed by 16 advice and information agencies in collaboration with Glasgow City Council.
GAP has been created to prevent and relieve poverty—including child poverty—and promote equality and diversity across Glasgow. Central to this mission is the development of early intervention and prevention strategies, alongside strengthening collaboration across the advice sector.
By bringing together key local and strategic partners, GAP seeks to build a more inclusive city, ensuring individuals and families have access to the financial support and guidance they need to thrive.

About the Role
As CEO, you will provide strategic leadership and operational direction, working closely with the Board of Trustees and our Advice partners to establish GAP as a high-impact organisation.
This is a dynamic role that will evolve alongside the organisation, requiring ambition, adaptability, and a strong commitment to tackling poverty inequality.
About you
We are looking for a leader who brings:
- A strong strategic vision and commitment to tackling poverty and inequality
- Proven experience in senior leadership, ideally within the charity, public, or advice sectors
- A track record of building effective partnerships and collaborations
- Experience of financial management and track record of securing funding and ensuring compliance with funders conditions
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- A passion for driving social change and improving lives

Since 2012 East Dunbartonshire Voluntary Action (EDVA) has been the Third Sector Interface organisation in East Dunbartonshire. We help to build capacity, share knowledge, create positive connections, advocate for the sector and support volunteering.
As Chief Executive, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership. Borders Community Action is seeking to appoint an additional trustee/director who will join the Board immediately and become Chair Designate, with the intention of assuming the role of Chair of the organisation in 2027.
Role Profile
As Chair Designate, the successful candidate will first serve as a full trustee/director of the organisation. Trustees are collectively responsible for ensuring the charity is well run, financially responsible and acting in line with its purposes, while safeguarding its assets, values and reputation.
This is an opportunity for an experienced and dynamic individual to help lead a growing and ambitious organisation through its next stage of development. The successful candidate will work alongside fellow trustees/directors, the current Chair and the Chief Executive to ensure a well-supported and effective transition into the
Chair role.
In addition to the general duties of a trustee, the Chair Designate should be willing and able to:
- Provide strategic leadership at Board level and help guide the long-term direction of the organisation.
- Build effective working relationships with trustees, staff and key partners.
- Support good governance, sound decision-making and collective responsibility within the Board.

Job Purpose & Context
As JustRight Scotland continues to mature as a nationally significant human rights organisation, the CEO will lead the next phase of development—delivering our current Paving Routes to Justice strategy and preparing for our next beyond 2029, strengthening organisational sustainability, establishing a more visible and impactful policy presence, and scaling impact.
The CEO of JustRight Scotland is the organisation’s strategic lead, with oversight of our four centres of legal excellence and our policy, communications and participation work. The CEO is responsible for leading implementation of the organisational strategy to deliver JustRight Scotland’s mission to use the law to defend and extend people’s rights in Scotland. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the CEO is the accountable officer for the charity, responsible for strategic planning and financial sustainability. The CEO is the primary link between the organisation’s committed staff team and the Board.
The CEO is an ambassador for JustRight Scotland. As a strategic leader in the Human Rights sector, the CEO will represent JustRight Scotland at senior levels across civil society and government. They will build and sustain strategic relationships to influence policy and systems change, and to build the profile and reputation of the organisation in Scotland, the UK and internationally.
JustRight Scotland operates in a dual structure of SCIO and LLP, which requires collaborative governance between senior leaders to ensure alignment across these structures. The organisation operates a distributed leadership model in which the Senior Executive Team, comprising the CEO, the Chief Operating Officer and the two Legal Directors (who are also the LLP Partners), share authority and responsibility for senior leadership of the organisation. This is intended to ensure wellbeing, innovation and adaptive capacity at leadership level, aligned with shared values and strategy. The CEO will therefore work closely with the Legal Directors, building on their significant expertise, ensuring a clear and consistent organisational voice.

A strong understanding of human rights law, principles and practice, as well as the lived experience of people in Scotland, alongside credibility as a leader within the charity and/or human rights sector.

Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire SCIO is a dynamic local charity and the Third Sector Interface working to make East Renfrewshire a better place to live, work and do business. From climate action awareness, volunteer programmes, capacity supports and wellbeing activities, we deliver projects that promote inclusion, sustainability and community wellbeing.
Job Role
The purpose of this role is to lead and deliver our marketing and communications activity. Working with the Communications Support Worker, management team and wider programme teams, the post holder will join us at an exciting time as we settle into our new collaborative community space at Rouken Glen Park.
The role will have a key focus on improving how we communicate our programme activities and showcase our impact and that of the wider community sector in East Renfrewshire. This includes supporting the development of a new website as well as testing and developing other methods and channels to reach a wide range of audiences, including local residents, volunteers, partners and funders.
We are therefore looking for a proactive, creative and confident communicator with excellent writing skills and strong digital and content creation skills. You will be comfortable taking the lead as well as guiding and supporting colleagues across teams to deliver effective communications, helping to build confidence and enthusiasm for marketing and communications across the organisation.
Key Tasks
Working with the Communications Support Worker, the wider Voluntary Action staff and management team, you will:
1. Increase visibility of our new venue and community space, the Community Wellbeing and Enterprise Hub in Rouken Glen Park, and promote its offer to local communities, organisations and partners.
2. Work with the management team to improve how we communicate and engage with local third sector, partners, as well as wider communities, share strategic priorities, plans and consultations, and ensure meaningful opportunities for feedback.
3. Support the development of a new website to provide engaging information, practical support and opportunities for the third sector to have a voice and influence.
4. Work with programme teams to identify and capture impact stories from across activities, collaborations and events and develop these into content across a range of formats suited to different audiences and channels.
5. Oversight of organisation’s marketing and communications activities, guiding and supporting Communications Support Worker and programme teams on communications planning and implementation.
6. Work with Communications Support Worker to ensure co-ordinated and prioritised content planning across channels to increase impact and avoid duplication.
7. Work with programme teams to gather and use audience insights to shape and test marketing and communications methods and channels, improving how we engage with key and new audiences eg, young people.
