Are you an inspiring leader with a passion for providing great housing and services? Maryhill Housing Association, a Registered Social Landlord providing over 3,100 homes in North West Glasgow, is seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Chief Executive Officer. This is a pivotal position in which you will shape the future of our organisation, ensuring we deliver on our promises to customers.
About the Role
As CEO, you will be responsible for the direct line management of the Executive Management Team and Head of Development, empowering staff to provide the best homes and services possible. Reporting directly to the Board, your visionary leadership will guide Maryhill Housing towards achieving its mission of providing great housing and services for our customers; supporting strong, inclusive communities in North West Glasgow.
You will determine the strategic direction, growth, and development of the Association, maintaining executive accountability for all operations. Your role will include forming and nurturing key strategic partnerships, including with Queens Cross Housing Association, to bring tangible benefits to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Governance: Lead the development and execution of the Corporate Strategy in collaboration with the Board. Ensure excellent governance and adherence to the Scottish Housing Regulator’s guidelines.
- Service Excellence: Secure the provision of high-quality, customer-centric housing services. Oversee the repair and improvement programs to enhance energy efficiency and maintain affordability for tenants.
- Team Empowerment: Build and support a skilled, motivated and high performing staff team. Foster a coaching culture of inclusion, openness, innovation, and excellence across the Association.
- Strategic Partnerships: Develop and sustain partnerships to drive regeneration in North West Glasgow and explore new opportunities to deliver tangible benefits to customers
- Innovation and Compliance: Drive the organisation forward with innovative approaches while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for a seasoned leader with:
- Proven experience at a senior management level, either within the housing sector, or able to evidence transferability.
- A track record of developing strategic partnerships and driving continuous improvement.
- Strong strategic planning, financial management, and risk management skills.
- Excellent leadership qualities, with a genuine commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Located in the heart of Glasgow’s West End, you will be a key member of Technical Team, supporting our ambitious procurement and investment plans across Net-Zero initiatives, component replacement, Major Repairs, and Cyclical Maintenance projects with a view to ensuring Scottish Housing Quality Standards compliance, enhancing the quality of our homes, ensuring resident satisfaction; and improving our neighbourhoods.
The ideal candidate will have experience delivering a range of planned and ad-hoc major work, common repairs and investment initiatives, with sound working knowledge of preparing procurement business cases, work specifications and tenders. A relevant professional or vocational qualification (HND/SCQF level 8 or above) would be desirable.
A summary of key tasks include:
- Preparing procurement business cases in compliance with procurement strategy, ensuring timely preparation of work specifications and tenders, and contributing to tender evaluations, to meet project planning and governance objectives.
- Development of relevant consultant appointment service level agreements, appointment documentation and rolling performance monitoring / management.
- Delivering a range of planned / ad-hoc major works / common repair, Net-Zero, and investment initiatives including cyclical, SHQS & EESSH compliance projects, and component replacement as directed.
- Property inspections / reporting to assess compliance with SHQS / EESSH , to inform investment strategy.Pre and Post Contract administration in line with GWHA procurement strategy (including but not limited to preparing / contributing to tender documentation, tender evaluation, issuing instructions, ensuring contractor compliance).

Queens Cross Housing Association is looking to recruit a Finance Manager to the Business Services Team which supports the group’s subsidiaries Queens Cross Workspace and Queens Cross Factoring.
The Finance Manager plays a key business role for the subsidiary companies, setting and managing budgets, treasury management, analysing financial information, preparing management and annual accounts. The subsidiaries are medium-sized businesses in their own right and have their own separate property and financial management systems and software. Currently, the turnover for Workspace is £950k and Factoring is £2m and both companies are growing and developing.
The post-holder will report to the Business Services Manager and will line manage a small team of two Credit Control Assistants and one Finance Assistant.
Essential criteria:
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance role.
• Experience of setting and managing of budgets.
• Experience of managing staff to achieve high performance.
• Experience of developing and implementing policies and procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of arrears management processes.
• Knowledge of Scottish law and court processes.

These services support approximately 400 people who have been identified and assessed to benefit from additional support to remain well and maintain their tenancies in the local community. The Wellbeing for Good Mental Health Service is registered with the Care Inspectorate, and the Wellbeing 60+ service provides enhanced housing management.
The role will involve supervisory responsibilities including providing support to a team of 11 Wellbeing Workers. The role will also involve key working.
Essential criteria:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting vulnerable adults.
• Experience supervising within a support service.
• Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with other professionals.
• Good interpersonal skills and effective time management.

• Oversee the delivery of person-centred support services.
• Ensure compliance with Care Inspectorate and SSSC standards.
