About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Funding and Membership Manager to lead the development, delivery and growth of the West Highland Way Trust’s membership and fundraising activity.
This is a pivotal role within a small and ambitious organisation. You will be responsible for growing individual, corporate and international membership, developing fundraising campaigns, and ensuring an excellent supporter experience. Working closely with the Trust’s Director and Board of Trustees, you will help embed recurring income streams that underpin the Trust’s long-term sustainability.

About you
You will have experience in membership development, fundraising or supporter engagement, with a track record of meeting targets and building strong supporter relationships. You will be confident using CRM systems, analysing data and delivering engaging communications.
You will be proactive, organised and motivated by the opportunity to grow income in a developing charity. An interest in outdoor access, conservation, sustainable tourism or Scotland’s landscapes would be highly advantageous.
Experience within a charity, conservation, heritage or tourism setting would be beneficial, as would experience of corporate partnerships or digital fundraising.

VOCAL – Voice of Carers Across Lothian is a carer-led organisation delivering a wide range of services to support unpaid carers in their caring role. We are seeking an experienced Training and Engagement Officer to design and deliver meaningful and engaging opportunities that help carers learn, connect and share peer experience in a way that positively impacts their lives and their caring roles.
Joining our team in Midlothian, and working closely with Carer Support colleagues, the postholder will: plan and deliver flexible, person centred training opportunities (face to face and digital); work with external trainers and partner organisations; and ensure carers are supported beyond events to access VOCAL’s wider services.

West Lothian Drug and Alcohol Service is a well-established 3rd sector organisation with a history and reputation for delivering a wide range of effective early interventions and psychological therapies around alcohol and drugs throughout West Lothian as well as providing Young Peoples Services. We also have significant experience in delivering bespoke training and education inputs to an eclectic audience covering many subjects.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the production/development and delivery of a training programme to secondary school staff and other professionals working with older young people, with a focus on SIMD (Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation) 1/2 areas. This project will therefore focus on addressing the clear disconnect between the ever-increasing prevalence of vaping among children and young people and the workforce’s capacity to respond effectively. For example, a lack of confidence in discussing vaping, confusion due to mixed messages between adult and young people’s guidance and a need for accurate information and practical tools for behaviour change conversations.
This is a fixed-term pilot project for 12 months funded by NHS Lothian. The role will involve partnership working and the formation of a small steering group and programme delivery in a group setting over various locations within West Lothian to multiple agencies engaging with young people as well as, the oversight of sessional staff who will support the roll out of training. There may also be a requirement for evening and weekend work however, this would be negotiated/agreed well in advance.

Main Purpose of Post:
To work within our Teenage/Adult social wellbeing programmes team to develop, plan, promote and run online sessions using Zoom for TeenZ/FriendZ Space, our online programme of activities for teenager/adult with Down’s syndrome. This will occasionally include supporting people with Down’s syndrome who are co-delivering sessions. The TeenZ/FriendZ Space Worker will also be required to complete associated administration tasks including digitally updating and maintaining bookings and attendance records, preparing, and posting mailouts. We initially introduced an online social wellbeing programme in October 2020 in response to Covid lockdowns with the aim of facilitating friendships, having fun together and reducing social isolation in adults and teenagers with Down’s syndrome. Participants come together to enjoy activities such as craft, music, quiz, health and wellbeing and sessions based around shared interests. This programme was further developed to run as 2 separate programmes, one for teenagers aged 13-19 (TeenZ Space) and one for adults 18+ (FriendZ Space). The post holder must be available to work weekday evenings and occasional weekend work. The post is homebased online with some occasional in-person work involving travel across Scotland.
