Using volunteers, the Halliday Foundation designs and delivers services to build self-esteem, reduce isolation, connect communities and develop employability skills. We build strong, trusting relationships free from stigma and judgement among the people who use our services, with donors and local community partners.

About the role
You’ll be:
· Providing direct line management to a small team of staff
· Ensuring the referral, induction and moving processed are effective and trauma-informed.
· Ensuring our Safeguarding and Human Trafficking prevention processes are maintained to the highest standard.
· Providing occasional groupwork sessions as part of a programme of wellbeing activities.
· Overseeing the volunteer placements at Lotus and providing support when needed.

Context:
Elpis Trust delivers a person centred housing support service to 18 young women who are experiencing homelessness or are care leavers aged between 16-25 years. The supported accommodation is based in the Core service and satellite flats in the Ruchill and Maryhill area of Glasgow. Elpis provides a high quality support service which addresses young woman’ identified and assessed needs and reflects the aims of the service to work within relevant organisational and statutory policies, including health and safety, employment and equality laws. This includes adhering to Scottish Social Services Council codes of practice, National Care Standards and contractual requirements. Staffs work closely with the young women to write up support plans and deliver an individually tailored service, utilising Ladders to Success and GIRFEC, SHANARRI Outcomes.

To have specific working responsibility at present for 19 vulnerable young women, 9 living in the Core building and 9 in scatter flats and 1 in Mother & Baby flat in the Ruchill and Maryhill areas of Glasgow.

The role will include general administration support and reception duties including handling calls, replying to emails and greeting visitors. You will be responsible for reporting repairs, room bookings and ordering building supplies. You will assist in planning local community events and creating advertising materials to post on our social media pages. This role requires a flexible approach to work evenings and weekends.
A key aspect of this role requires the postholder to be on-site during their work hours. Consequently, working from home or hybrid working is not available.
The Pantry provides fresh, nutritional, good quality food at a significantly subsidised rate.
The Pantry receives and distributes surplus, fit-for-consumption food, provided through effective partnerships with Fareshare Glasgow and the West which includes fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and dairy to offer a quality shopping experience for a membership fee of £2.50 per shop. As opposed to the foodbank model of free crisis provision, the pantry offers dignity and choice in exchange for a small membership fee, providing support to people on a low income, or recovering from a crisis.
