The Cottage Family Centre was established in 1987. The focus of the work at the Centre is to provide a range of support to those families and individuals within family units who are vulnerable to social exclusion as a result of factors such as poverty, unemployment, poor housing, relationship breakdown, drug and alcohol problems and health related issues.
The range of services that the Cottage provides includes a therapeutic service for children and young people.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced therapist/s competent to work with children and young people. The successful candidate/s must be a qualified Play Therapist, Art Therapist or Counsellor qualified to work with children and young people.
You will need to be self-motivated, have the ability to work independently with a positive and flexible approach and demonstrate a sound understanding of social issues that affect children, young people and families.

The Cottage Family Centre are looking for a passionate, highly motivated and experienced individual with a sound knowledge and understanding of children’s learning and development as well as the challenges facing our families across our communities.
The purpose of this role is to lead and support a small staff team within a registered childcare setting and provide advice, guidance and support to vulnerable families with children aged 0–8 years in the Kirkcaldy area who have been referred to The Cottage Family Centre.
As well as supporting individual children to reach their full potential, this role will enable parents to be individually supported to gain a better understanding of their children’s needs empowering them to improve their children’s development by using strategies and activities that they can incorporate within their daily lives.
You will require 3 years’ experience in a similar role
This role will also support the management team to develop a broad range of learning activities, which are specific to the needs of vulnerable children and their families.

The Dedicated Addication Worker forms part of the ASSIST Service and provides intensive support to individuals affected by alcohol and substance use who are experiencing multiple and complex challenges.
The role focuses on recovery planning, psychosocial support, harm reduction, motivation, resilience and community reintegration.
Working across community the Dedicated Addication Worker will support individuals to overcome barriers, access essential services and improve stability within their lives.
You will work collaboratively with statutory and third-sector partners to ensure individuals receive coordinated support and, where ongoing recovery-focused intervention is required, facilitate onward referral to other organisations.

The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative person to support this small team in planning and delivering Greener Kirkcaldy’s marketing, communications, campaigns and events programme – helping more people hear about, participate in and benefit from our work.
You’ll create content for social media, our website and newsletters, help organise, promote and deliver community events, support marketing campaigns and work with colleagues across the organisation to share the impact of our work. No two days are the same, and you’ll gain experience across digital marketing, events, media, design and community engagement.
This role would suit someone at the start of their communications career, including recent graduates or people looking to build on some communications experience. Whether your experience comes from university, volunteering, work or personal projects, we’ll provide training, mentoring and support to help you build your skills and confidence.

Sacro provide Restorative Justice and one to one Behavioural change programmes to assist young people to address offending behaviour and, where appropriate, to support young people to make amends to address their behaviour by making amends to the person they have harmed.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working directly with young people as part of an existing Youth Justice team. The successful candidate should have experience of working with young people who offend and have knowledge of psychosocial and psychological interventions, Restorative Justice and experience of delivering group work programmes.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work both as part of a team and independently. Experience of multi-disciplinary team working would be an advantage. A commitment to Sacro’s value base is essential.
