We are pleased to invite applications for the above position within our Technical Team.
The successful candidate will actively support the delivery of day to day Factoring Services, Health & Safety administration, and our ambitious Investment initiatives. You will have keen attention to detail, with a focus on effective building effective relationships with our service users and other stakeholders; with flexibility to reflect organisational priorities, change, and our 2028 vision.
You will demonstrate, excellent communication, multi-tasking, and proficient IT skills. If you would like to develop, or already have skills and/or experience in the following areas we would like to hear from you:
1. Frontline Customer Service experience, supporting residents accessing our Factoring and Investment works.
2. Administrative experience, record keeping, communication to support our operational priorities.
3. An awareness of Health & Safety compliance in relation to Asset Management.
4. Monitoring service satisfaction, mitigating complaints.
5. Effective day to day operational communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Following a recent restructure of our Services and Technical Departments, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Technical Officer. We are looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who can demonstrate their commitment to delivering high quality projects to an excellent standard.
Located in the heart of Glasgow’s West End, you will be a key member of Technical Team, supporting our ambitious procurement and investment plans across Net-Zero initiatives, component replacement, Major Repairs, and Cyclical Maintenance projects with a view to ensuring Scottish Housing Quality Standards compliance, enhancing the quality of our homes, ensuring resident satisfaction; and improving our neighbourhoods.
The ideal candidate will have experience delivering a range of planned and ad-hoc major work, common repairs and investment initiatives, with sound working knowledge of preparing procurement business cases, work specifications and tenders. A relevant professional or vocational qualification (HND/SCQF level 8 or above) would be desirable.
A summary of key tasks include:
- Preparing procurement business cases in compliance with procurement strategy, ensuring timely preparation of work specifications and tenders, and contributing to tender evaluations, to meet project planning and governance objectives.
- Development of relevant consultant appointment service level agreements, appointment documentation and rolling performance monitoring / management.
- Delivering a range of planned / ad-hoc major works / common repair, Net-Zero, and investment initiatives including cyclical, SHQS & EESSH compliance projects, and component replacement as directed.
- Property inspections / reporting to assess compliance with SHQS / EESSH , to inform investment strategy.Pre and Post Contract administration in line with GWHA procurement strategy (including but not limited to preparing / contributing to tender documentation, tender evaluation, issuing instructions, ensuring contractor compliance).
- Assessing and addressing contractor performance in respect of quality and performance across all functions.

Glasgow West Enterprises (GWEn) was established in 2010 as a commercial subsidiary of Glasgow West Housing Association. GWEn’s primary focus is the provision of property factoring services within the City Centre and West of Glasgow. The trading subsidiary also provides flexibility to explore other community-led services aligned to the housing association’s vision of shaping thriving communities.
We are looking to appoint an additional Director to support the current GWEn Board in the delivery of its ambitious Business Plan. Ideally this will be someone with previous property factoring experience, preferably within a commercial environment, although we are keen to hear from anyone with relevant/transferrable skills and experience.
The GWEn Board currently meet 3-4 times per year (usually online, Thursday mornings, with flexibility to meet Director commitments). Director responsibilities include:
- Providing overall direction and supervision of the management of GWEn
- Development of the business strategy and annual business plan and budget

As CEO, you will be responsible for the direct line management of the Executive Management Team and Head of Development, empowering staff to provide the best homes and services possible. - Service Excellence: Secure the provision of high-quality, customer-centric housing services. Oversee the repair and improvement programs to enhance energy efficiency and maintain affordability for tenants.
- Team Empowerment: Build and support a skilled, motivated and high performing staff team. Foster a coaching culture of inclusion, openness, innovation, and excellence across the Association.
- Strategic Partnerships: Develop and sustain partnerships to drive regeneration in North West Glasgow and explore new opportunities to deliver tangible benefits to customers
- Innovation and Compliance: Drive the organisation forward with innovative approaches while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
