Edinburgh Young Carers is seeking a suitably experienced and qualified applicant to co-ordinate our
awareness-raising, training and support to schools and Higher Education (HE)/Further Education (FE)
establishments across Edinburgh, with the aim to develop whole-school, sustainable approaches in the
identification of, and support to, young carers.
The post-holder will support the delivery and development of the ‘We Care: Schools for Young Carers’ award to schools
across Edinburgh, and nationwide, and will work in partnership with Capital Carers and Space to ensure
consistent delivery of schools and HE/FE work across the four localities of the City.
The candidate will need to be experienced in working with children and young people in formal or informal education
settings, with experience of project set-up, management and reporting and in developing and delivering
presentations and running training events/workshops for young people and professionals.
