Role

Victim Support Scotland delivers essential services including information, practical assistance, emotional support, and guidance throughout the criminal justice system. Providing specialised support for individuals affected by various crimes such as murder, terrorism, rape and sexual assault, domestic violence, and hate crime - Their aim is to empower individuals to navigate the aftermath of a crime and rebuild their lives.

With dedicated volunteers supported by paid staff, Victim Support Scotland's national and local offices across Scotland, as well as their teams in the Sheriff and High Courts, ensure the provision of high-quality support to those impacted by crime.

As the voice of individuals affected by crime, Victim Support Scotland advocates for victim and witness rights and strives to enhance support services by influencing key national policy decisions. They actively collaborate with partners in criminal justice agencies, the third sector, and local organisations to drive positive improvements within the criminal justice system.

The Role

As a member of the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) your role involves devising and implementing effective strategies to generate new business and partnership income. Your primary responsibility is to maximise funding opportunities to support Victim Support Scotland's core mission of aiding all victims and witnesses of crime in Scotland.

You will also be responsible for diversifying the organisation's funding streams, including partnership funding, grant funding, and corporate funding, to develop a sustainable model of income. Collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), Board, and VSS partners will be essential in identifying and aligning funding opportunities with organisational objectives.

Your duties will be to develop new income generation partnerships, service invitations to tenders (ITTs), and potential grant funding sources for VSS. Additionally, you will drive efforts to identify and support the ELT in establishing strategic partnerships aligned with VSS's corporate strategy, goals, and values. Moreover, you will lead the coordination and in funding bids and tenders, ensuring active involvement from all relevant colleagues in funding development efforts and provide an effective reporting system. We are looking for an individual who is willing to do the ground work, seek and mature all opportunities that align with the funding strategy.
