Victim Support Scotland is the lead voluntary organisation in Scotland helping people affected by crime. It provides support, practical help and essential information to victims, witnesses and others affected by crime. The service is free, confidential and is provided by trained volunteers through a network of community based victim services and court based witness services.

What is The Role
As a member of the Corporate Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Director of Service Delivery, your primary role is to oversee national services and programmes across Scotland and provide strategic support to service delivery. However, you will also work closely with Heads of Service supporting localities, working together to provide a holistic, integrated support to our service users and supporting all Service Delivery staff and volunteers as part of #OneVSS team approach. You will be responsible for ensuring, within your areas of responsibility, that VSS’s strategic objectives are being implemented and will have a key role in developing future strategies and business planning to ensure that the needs of victims and witnesses are being met.
What You’ll Need to be Successful
We are looking for an experienced and transformational leader. Someone who will relish the opportunity to shape the delivery of the VSS vision and strategic priorities. You will be working alongside colleagues and partner agencies to deliver for victims and witnesses and have a relevant post-graduate professional qualification and/or experience in relation to research and designing service pathways. An innovative thinker with strong communication skills and experience of partnership working. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development is essential.

Salary band: £47,266 - £62,420. Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to review - in line with VSS progression arrangements. A higher salary placing will only be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.

What is The Role
You will be reporting to Head of Service Delivery - National Programmes, you will lead the management, development and delivery of Victim Support Scotland’s National Support Centre operating 365 days a year. The National Support Centre provides a vital first point of contact for individuals affected by crime across Scotland. It is based in Glasgow and open 7 days per week 365 days per year. The service offers information, initial needs assessments, and trauma-informed support via telephone and webchat. It also manages all national referrals and is supported by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of a high-quality, trauma-sensitive service to victims and witnesses. You will oversee workforce planning for your area, ensuring that both staff and volunteers are well-supported, knowledgeable, and equipped to meet the needs of service users.

What is the role
We are recruiting for multiple Relief Support Co-ordinators to support our team across Scotland. Relief Support Co-ordinators provide cover over weekdays, evenings and weekends. Shifts are offered when they are available, but there is no obligation to accept work.
Primary location:
Inverness Justice Court, the successful candidate will be supporting service delivery across the whole Highland & Island locality, expenses will be covered.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the work of VSS through helping plan service delivery which is provided by a team of skilled and knowledgeable volunteers. You will be involved in planning their deployment to ensure that the service delivered meets the desired outcomes of victims and witnesses of crime, our service users.

What you’ll need to be successful
We are looking for people who are experienced in a similar role. You must be confident to challenge stereotyping, prejudice, discrimination, and bias. The ability to travel across the Highlands and Islands is essential and therefore a current driving licence and access to a car is required.

What we offer?
Relief Support Co-ordinators receive an hourly rate of £15.16 per hour. Full training is provided as well as opportunities for further development. Entitled to 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata.
