About us
The Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS) is a small charity making a big difference. QNIS supports, develops and inspires Scotland’s community nurses and midwives. We help them to develop their expertise so they can drive positive action to build a healthier, kinder, fairer, greener Scotland.
About the role
We are looking for a great communicator, experienced in website management and digital media, to support the work of the charity. This will be a wide-ranging role that will see you involved in a variety of activities, including managing our website, maintaining our social media presence and developing our communications. Being a small team, we need someone who is also happy to roll their sleeves up and pitch in, scanning documents, packing boxes, or running to the shops when required.
The post is 37.5 hours a week, 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday with a 30-minute lunch. QNIS currently works in a hybrid way, which means you will be able to work from home for some of the time, however, there will be an expectation for some collaborative face-to-face working in the office. There may also be occasions when you will be asked to support an event somewhere other than the office or outwith the usual working hours. We are offering a starting salary of £27,645.
About you
With an aptitude for website management and digital media, you will have excellent writing skills, and will be highly organised. You will be able to demonstrate highly proficient IT skills and an ability to cope with several tasks at once. Crucial to success in the role is a high level of self-awareness, and the ability to communicate patiently, cheerfully and tactfully with everyone. We work on Microsoft365 using the full suite of MSOffice programmes, and the website is on WordPress. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, social media management tools and of working with CRM would also be an advantage.
