About QNIS: The Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS) is a small charity doing big things. QNIS works with and supports community nurses and midwives all over Scotland, providing leadership and practice development opportunities. We also work closely with a range of other public and third sector organisations to advocate for the community nursing and midwifery professions.

The role: We have a great opportunity for a business support officer to join our small team. This wide-ranging and diverse role will see you providing high quality, professional business support across the organisation. You will be involved in a wide range of activities including supporting projects and events, diary management, and coordinating external suppliers. You will engage with stakeholders at all levels, including liaising with nurses and midwives, supporting senior managers, and coordinating committee meetings for the Board of Trustees. Being a small team, we need someone who is also happy to roll their sleeves up and pitch in, scanning documents, packing boxes, or running to the shops when required.

The post is full time (37.5 hours). The place of work is our office in central Edinburgh. We support hybrid working, this is dependent on business needs and would likely require a minimum of two days per week in the office. We are offering a starting salary of £30,686 (FTE). Benefits include:

About you: An experienced administrator, you will be able to meet deadlines while maintaining a very high level of attention to detail. With strong IT skills and an ability to manage a range of work with many parallel sub-projects, you will have excellent organisation and planning skills. Experience of working with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems would be an advantage. Crucial to success in the role will be a high level of self-awareness, the ability to communicate clearly, cheerfully and tactfully with people at all levels, both internally and externally. Job Summary

As our Front of House Manager, you will be the welcoming face of our organisation, ensuring that every visitor, no matter their reason for coming into our building are welcomed and treated in line with our values which are kindness and compassion, being honest and inclusive. You will manage and oversee all aspects of the Hospice front of house operations including reception, in house events, housekeeping, coffee shop and catering services, volunteers, and team management. You will also oversee our Contemplation space, learning and teaching events, ad hoc special events, deliveries and donations. Scottish Huntington’s Association are seeking to recruit a suitably experienced Senior Central Admin and HR Officer to join our central services team. This role involves offering guidance and support to the organisation while ensuring that both the physical and virtual working environments and processes meet the needs of the wider team.

Reporting to the Head of Income Generation and Administration you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies related to HR, health and safety, ICT, data management and office administration.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure the effective operation and upkeep of office facilities and equipment.
• Develop and revise HR policies in accordance with legislation, providing clear communication to staff.

You will need to be available to work from our registered national office a minimum of three full days each week, situated at Business First, Burnbrae Road, Paisley PA1 2FB. The Ayrshire Hospice is therefore seeking an individual to fill the position of Technical Support Supervisor, who, working with the Head of Facilities and Property Management and the facilities team, will enable this to happen.

The Technical Support Supervisor will report directly to the Head of Facilities & Property Management and will assist in the delivery of a responsive and effective facilities management service.

The individual will have a good knowledge of facilities management, preferably in a health care setting, and will have experience of conducting general repairs. They will also have the skills necessary to diagnose and co-ordinate the corrective actions required on all aspects of; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) systems to ensure optimal operating results.

The successful candidate will support the planning and implementation of the organisation’s policies and procedures, including the day-to-day operations of the facilities portfolio. The successful candidates will manage facilities staff duties, liaising with contractors, hospice staff and volunteers, ensuring that health and safety policies and procedures are followed.

As a member of the Hospice team, you will be working in a clinical end of life care environment always putting the patients' needs first, despite conflicting priorities.
