Scottish Huntington’s Association is the only charity in the country exclusively dedicated to providing expert and personalised support for those impacted by Huntington’s disease when they need it, regardless of where they live.

Organised, motivated and a confident communicator, you’ll be responsible for driving income and building relationships throughout the East Coast of Scotland, to ensure we have the funds needed to deliver our specialist services for every family impacted by this devastating disease. We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds including (but not limited to) account management, marketing, fundraising, event management, or sales, and candidates who are based in any of the following areas: Aberdeenshire, Dundee and Angus, Edinburgh and the Lothians, Fife or Perthshire.

From supporter stewardship, event management, delivering inspiring presentations, and managing volunteers, no week will be the same. The Community and Events Fundraising Officer (East Coast of Scotland) will be joining a hard-working and talented fundraising team, working closely with our Senior Community, Event & Individual Giving Fundraising Officer, Community and Events Fundraising Officer (West Coast of Scotland), our SHA Communications team, as well as the wider SHA team.

We are looking for an engaging, passionate and tenacious person who can deliver strong, cost effective and sustainable income growth for the charity, along with good copy writing, admin and organisational skills, experienced at developing relationships, and can manage a busy and varied workload. This is a chance for you to channel your varied skills, qualities, and passion for relationship building to improve the lives of families impacted by Huntington’s disease in Scotland.

You will work from home with periodic travel throughout the East Coast of Scotland. There will also be occasional travel required for organisation-wide meetings.

This role will require occasional weekend and evening working for which time off in lieu will be agreed.

In addition to a competitive salary, we offer benefits including flexible working practices, and a generous leave allowance totalling 37 days (25 days Annual leave and 12 days public holidays). Upon 5 completed years of service, you will receive an extra day for each completed year up to a maximum of 5 days, and the the opportunity to opt into our competitive pension scheme.

The ALLIANCE is excited to be recruiting a Discover Digital Development Officer.

‘Discover Digital’ is a project to raise awareness of digital tools which promote health and wellbeing. Its current aims are enabling outreach and inclusion, promoting digital and health literacy, developing meaningful signposting and supporting the wider digital health and social care landscape.

The role of the Discover Digital Development Officer sits within the Digital Hub at the ALLIANCE. The main focus of the role will be to deliver the intended outcomes of the Discover Digital project. These are:

• Use service design approaches to develop and promote the Discover Digital Guide as a learning resource
• Development and provision of online and in-person Discover Digital workshops and the roadshow package, also using service design principles

The successful candidate for this role should have:

• Knowledge of the digital health and social care landscape in Scotland

• Has experience of successfully supporting individuals with very complex support needs to live good lives in their own homes and communities

• Can contribute to the development of individually designed support services that uphold human rights and enable citizenship.

• Has strong interpersonal and leadership skills, able to work closely with the people we support, their families and teams, as well as multidisciplinary partners, to support and sustain the highest standards of practice.

• Is able to confidentially role model excellent practice in line with our values, through a thriving community of practice leaders and positive behaviour practitioners as well as contribute to external networks and initiatives.

• Has strong project management and IT skills to support the implementation of effective processes, systems and tools which measure and demonstrate the impact of our strategies.

You will have a recognised social care or relevant professional qualification and while a recognised PBS/BILD qualification would be advantageous, this is not essential as we will offer support to attain this.

We are looking for a highly motivated fundraising manager to join our growing fundraising team as Partnerships and Philanthropy Lead. This role will join us at an exciting time of growth to deliver a successful Partnerships and Philanthropy strategy.

In this role, you will be central to the successful delivery of our ambitious fundraising strategy, using operational and financial planning skills to develop and implement a successful portfolio for giving across Scotland. Working with a mixed audience of Trusts and Corporates, you will lead on delivering first-class supporter experiences through the creation of an innovative and engaging portfolio. You will work with the Head of Fundraising to create the infrastructure required for Partnerships and Philanthropy to thrive, developing, and managing existing relationships, whilst building new opportunities.

As Partnerships and Philanthropy Lead you will be an inspiring leader and play a vital role in driving a step change in high value fundraising, securing multiyear funding, and establishing meaningful relationships in this arena.

You will be an ambassador for MND Scotland, building relationships across the MND community to further our mission to make time count for everyone in Scotland affected by MND.
