Role

Ark is a major provider of Care and Support to people with long term and enduring conditions such as learning disability, mental health issues, dementia and autism. As a housing association we are one of the smaller providers. Our aim is to ensure that those who use our services get the very best out of Ark to enable them to live a good life and to provide the best quality of housing to our tenants, some of whom we provide support to.

An exciting opportunity has arisen working as a Quality and Compliance Business Partner based in Ark’s Edinburgh Office.

The role will lead the development, maintenance, review and update of systems and processes to meet Ark’s corporate, strategic and regulatory expectations with regard to the Compliance and Improvement (C&I) function.

Areas of focus will include the following regulatory and legal compliance areas and responsibility for:

  • Developing and Maintaining systems to meet current regulatory expectations, including the annual and ongoing declaration process in terms of Ark’s Entitlements, Payments and Benefits Policy, compliance with the Organisational Checklist, ongoing review of policies and procedures, and meetings of Ark’s membership;
  • Leading the ongoing delivery of Ark’s complaints management system, as well as development and implementation of new systems for management, follow-up and reporting of complaints;
  • Acting as Ark’s named Data Protection Officer lead the development of systems and processes to ensure Ark complies with the General Data Protection Regulation, including ongoing collation and management of register information in relation to the types of data held, advice, training and support in relation to implementation of GDPR, data protection reviews (as necessary), advice in relation to potential breaches, monitoring and reporting as necessary.
