Looking for an opportunity to work for a flexible and family friendly organisation doing amazing work to support Scotland’s voluntary sector?

As SCVO’s Policy Assistant, you will have a unique opportunity to gain the skills and experience you’ll need for a policy career in the voluntary sector. This two year fixed term position will enable you to build your confidence in a range of policy and public affairs tasks, develop expertise in issues impacting on Scotland’s voluntary sector, and meet colleagues from across the sector.

You will support our policy work from day one by taking responsibility for our Policy Network, including facilitating and developing our online community, and managing online and in person events. Showing us that you have the skills and experience to do this will help to make your application stand out, but we’re also looking for a passion for policy and for the voluntary sector.

Part time hours and other flexible working options, including working from home for part of the week, will be fully considered. We encourage you to apply if you believe you meet most of the criteria in the person specification. We share our interview questions in advance.
