NUS Charity is an exciting organisation developing and championing strong students’ unions. We connect our members and curate services to deliver advice, guidance and crisis support to students’ unions. We do professional differently. We are a progressive charity representing students’ unions across the UK. The sector is inclusive, fun, dynamic and representative and we put students and students’ unions at the heart of everything we do.
The Think Positive project sits within the wider NUS Charity team. We support colleges, universities and students’ associations to develop and promote their mental health support offer in a variety of ways.
We are challenging but are committed to creating a supportive and flexible environment which pushes your personal development in your everyday activity.
What we do
Within our small Think Positive team we host a range of exciting projects and activities, including the Student Mental Health Agreement project which brings students’ associations and their institution together in a joint partnership to develop and promote the mental health work they deliver with staff and students. This year we’ll be launching a new ‘Student Mental Health Online Hub’ which will gather the support, services and resources available to students in Scotland. As well as a brand-new national student mental health campaign which we’ll co-design with project participants and the Scottish Government. The overall direction of the project is influenced by our project outcomes, project advisory group and lived experience ambassadors group.
Ultimately, we want to ensure that student mental health needs are better supported and promoted in further and higher education. As the Scottish Governments partner on student mental health, we have the opportunity to help shape what the future landscape looks like for students in Scotland!
It’s a very exciting time to join the team as you’ll have the opportunity to design and deliver a variety of brand-new working areas.
