This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role raising awareness of sight loss for blind and partially sighted young people in Scotland, as part of RNIB’s award-winning youth forum; Haggeye.
Haggeye provides a friendly and supportive platform which allows young people to raise awareness of what it's like to be blind or partially sighted in Scotland today and what's important to them. Our members work together to help create a society where sight loss is not a barrier to living life to the full.
As the Haggeye Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:
About you
You will have experience of working with young people and facilitating in person and online engagement. You will also need knowledge of provision and support for young people with vision impairment and their families.
Knowledge of relevant legislative and policy frameworks in Scotland and across the UK is equally important.
