As Digital Support Lead, you will have the opportunity to play a central role in continuous improvement of CHS Digital offering through leading on Digital Support while working with variety of stakeholders across CHS.

You will be working as part of a small and dynamic digital team with opportunities for professional development in line with the Digital strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• To establish and enable a skilled, responsive and effective CHS IT Frontline support service in line with ITIL best practice guidelines and develop a relationship with the CHS Technical Support Team to enable a cohesive end to end support offer.

• To manage CHS Digital assets including community chromebook estate (approx. 2000 units) to ensure close control, suitability for function and return on investment.

• To manage the community chromebook external supplier contract responsible for the Chromebook deployment, re-deployment and warranty service.

• Ensure CHS is offering excellent frontline customer service support to the CHS volunteer community that is responsive to their needs and helps to grow their digital skills and confidence.

• Ensure issues are triaged effectively and technical issues identified and escalated appropriately and in line with agreed SLAs.

• Coaching and mentoring of the wider CHS Team on support themes to enable knowledge and skills transfer to enable a sustainable internal expertise base for this work ongoing.

• Asset management and hardware strategy for CHS Scots devices (IT and Telephony) including engagement with ITECs for IT and device support issues.

• Ensure all CHS assets issued and the data are secure and protected at the physical and first level of user access ie the physical end user device;

• Ensure anti threat software is deployed across the CHS issued end user devices for anti-virus\spam threats and other software or code based threats;

• Ensure the development and continued support of business continuity and disaster recovery planning for end user devices, this will include contingency testing as necessary;

Our Digital team

Our Digital team comprises currently of Digital Strategy and Delivery Manager, Digital Engagement Analyst, Digital Operations Officer, Digital Frontline Support and Digital Technical Lead . The role of the team is to delivery digital services and development to our National team (~50) and CHS Community (~2500). We want enable the National Team and CHS community to provide positive outcomes for children, infants and young people. The team is passionate about delivering high quality and innovative digital service.

Life at CHS

Our 2,500 volunteer Panel Members take part in children’s hearings in their local areas, making decisions with and for infants, children and young people. Our organisation also supports a network of 22 Area Support Teams made up of 400 volunteers who support Panel Members in their local communities.
