The main purpose of this role is to support the parent/carers of neurodivergent children and young people up to age 25, by providing information, advice and 1:1 support. The role involves telephone, SMS text and email communication, including Live Chat, and may include contacting professionals on behalf of families. This post may occasionally require weekend and/or evening work and very occasionally working elsewhere.
The charity is based in Edinburgh but the Direct Help and Support (DHS) service in which this role sits, covers the whole of Scotland. We mainly support parents and carers using technology and are equipped to provide our service from home, interacting with families and professionals remotely. The post involves hybrid working, working from home and from our office in Edinburgh when required.
Salvesen Mindroom Centre is an independent Scottish Charity with a big vision – a world where ‘no mind is left behind’ and where every neurodivergent person receives the recognition and the support they need to achieve their potential. We are going through an exciting period of change and growth as we move towards our goal of becoming an internationally recognised centre of excellence in neurodiversity. We are looking for well qualified, positive thinking individuals who want to work as part of our enthusiastic team.
