Our Family Advice Specialists support families and professionals primarily through the use of technology. In this role you will support the Direct Help and Support (DHS) Manager to deliver services and meet the strategic aims of the organisation. You will lead our Children and Young People Service, overseeing a range of projects and service level agreements, supporting neurodivergent children and young people across Scotland, aged up to 25. This includes management of a team of Children and Young People Outreach Specialists. Our highly skilled staff team is neurodiverse, and it is essential that Team Leaders support our team to achieve their full potential.
You may also manage an individual case load, providing 1:1 issue-based advocacy to neurodivergent children and young people. This involves forming meaningful working relationships, creating a plan in partnership with the child or young person to address the issues they are facing and supporting them take part in decisions affecting their lives.

The Service Access Point Administrator will provide an empathetic, friendly, informed, and consistently efficient first point of contact for anyone enquiring about Salvesen Mindroom Centre services and provide a range of administrative support to the Direct Help & Support (DHS) team. They will be responsible for recording information using our CRM database and supporting in gathering and preparing statistical data to help us to monitor and evaluate our service delivery. Excellent communication skills are required for this role, as well as organisational skills and attention to detail, in order to manage a varied workload.

To provide a short-term community support service to neurodivergent Children & Young People up to age 18 living in East Lothian or for whom East Lothian is the relevant Local Authority. The postholder will support Children & Young People who have been assessed for a neurodevelopmental condition to explore what this means for them.
This will be a hybrid role, primarily providing support to children and young people in East Lothian using a mix of in-person and online communication. This will require travel across East Lothian. Some travel to Salvesen Mindroom Centre’s office in Edinburgh will be required, as well as working from home at times.
