Role
Glasgow’s Golden Generation has been supporting older adults across Glasgow since 1948 when it was founded as Glasgow Old People’s Welfare Association. The charity was set up initially to alleviate loneliness and isolation in the elderly, while these services still exist today, Glasgow’s Golden Generation provides so much more including: 3 Day Care Centre’s, Befriending Services, Weekly Clubs, Careline, Digital Coaching and Welfare Services.
GGG recognises the vital contribution that volunteer befrienders make in providing older adults with companionship, social interaction, and the support they need to participate in community life.
This role is central to our success by developing, planning and the implementation of an effective befriending network. In addition, this role will support the recruitment, matching and retention of Volunteer Befrienders.

Glasgow’s Golden Generation (GGG) is a long-established charity with an approximate turnover of £950K and 31 staff (part time and full time).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Chief Executive Officer; perhaps you are already in a CEO/Directors role, or you may be looking to step up from Senior Management to continue the excellent work of the charity. GGG is seeking experienced candidates that will have a proven record of good business acumen, an extensive knowledge of charitable services and the sector in general. In addition, GGG seek to appoint a candidate that has a strong fundraising background and particularly within statutory and private trust and foundation making bodies. GGG has strong income relationships with several significant multiyear funders already in place; it is essential to our charity that these networks and additional funding pipeline can continue.
GGG has a strong and experienced team; including an experienced Board, established Management team and long-standing staff. The role is well supported by third party consultants for HR and Health and Safety (Law at Work) and IT (McDonach IT Consultancy) and Auditors, Milne Craig.

We are seeking to engage an Independent Sector Lead to support the Integration of Health and Social Care in Dumfries & Galloway. Hosted by Scottish Care and working closely with care providers and partners, the post involves supporting the integration portfolio and the associated delivery plans for Health & Social Care in Dumfries & Galloway and ensuring sector involvement in the delivery of the integrating of health and social care in Scotland’s HSCPs.
The post holder must be highly motivated, be able to use initiative, possess excellent communication and networking skills, demonstrate success and experience working at strategic level with policy makers, provider partners, regulators, people supported by services and carers. Qualifications and experience at a senior management level would be a significant advantage.
The post holder will be expected to create and support significant collaborations across the independent care sector while contributing to the development of new care pathways which will result in the delivery of improved outcomes for people who access care and support. The post holder will ensure the Independent Sector’s contribution is fundamental to integrated services and transformational change and be able to evidence their impact. The role requires considerable and skilful collaboration with our key partners in the NHS, Local Authority, Carers, third sector organisations and other forums.

The Supported Housing Worker role requires assisting in the management of the development thus ensuring the tenants are able to enjoy an acceptable standard of living in an environment which is clean, safe and friendly. You will be responsible for overseeing the wellbeing of the tenants and for assisting them in maintaining their independence.
As Housing Care Worker your role will involve working with our tenants to ensure they receive the support and personal care identified in their care plans. You will directly support tenants in their homes by providing individual advice, practical housing support assistance and personal care.
Both roles are to ensure that we are able to offer the best service to our tenants and make it possible for our tenants to continue enjoying as much independent living as they’re able.
