Role

The ALLIANCE is excited to be recruiting for a new Engagement Development Officer to join our Person Centered Voices team.

The purpose of this role is to develop the Person Centred Voices teams engagement with stakeholders and to ensure the voice of people with lived experience is heard and to assist with research on behalf of the Person Centred Voices and the wider ALLIANCE Engagement programme.

The successful candidate for this role would be expected to have:

  • Excellent communication skills particularly written skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Experience of using social media as an engagement tool
  • Experience of carrying out social research and consultation
  • Experience of engaging with people in interactive and creative ways
  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills
  • Must have an enthusiastic approach to involving, supporting and responding to stakeholders
  • Understanding of the voluntary/third sector
  • Understanding and commitment to: equal opportunities; non-discrimination; and the principle of people being the experts in their own lives and being at the heart of policy, support and services
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
