Circle is seeking a Family Outreach Worker- Fathers ( 18 hours / week) to join our project in Edinburgh. About the role
The Development & Business Partnerships Officer plays an important role in strengthening relationships between Scottish Fair Trade and businesses, public sector organisations, social enterprises and partner networks across Scotland. The postholder supports engagement and knowledge-sharing around Fair Trade, ethical sourcing and sustainable procurement, helping to grow understanding and participation across different sectors.
The role also supports the development of Scottish Fair Trade’s membership community, encouraging organisations and businesses to engage with and support the movement for fairer trade.
Alongside this, the postholder will help coordinate light-touch consultancy and advisory activity delivered through Fair Change Co., our trading subsidiary, working with external associates or consultants where appropriate.

Maternity cover posts are a great opportunity to join CAPS’ Children and Young People’s small friendly team to provide individual advocacy to children and young people who are going through the Children’s Hearings system. CAPS is the main provider of advocacy for this issue to children and young people aged 5-18 in East Lothian and Midlothian. CAPS is also the alternate provider for this work in Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders, so travel to work in these areas will also be expected.
The focus of the work is the provision of independent advocacy to support children and young people to express their views and wishes when going through the Children’s Hearings process. Experience of working with children and young people is required as well as proven skills in communicating with them. Advocacy training will be provided.
This post will be subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme for regulated work with children.
There will be a 3-month probationary period attached to this post. Face-to-face work with children and young people is the focus of the role but some home working is also possible with the agreement of your line manager.

West Lothian Drug & Alcohol Service offers a diverse range of services for adults and young people including, counselling, psychological therapies, support, education, training, health promotion on drugs/alcohol and harm reduction e.g. Naloxone (THN) training and supply and injecting equipment provision (IEP).
We are looking to recruit a new Business Manager to join the Extended Management Team, taking over financial responsibilities including preparation of month end and annual accounts; planning and reporting; playing a lead role in costing services; supporting commissioning and funding applications; day to day financial and administration duties; management of facilities including the costing and ordering of services and equipment; liaison with suppliers; HR delivery; and the supervision of the Administrative Team.
You should have experience of working in a similar role, XERO accounts or similar accounting package, excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure. Sacro provide Restorative Justice and one to one Behavioural change programmes to assist young people to address offending behaviour and, where appropriate, to support young people to make amends to address their behaviour by making amends to the person they have harmed.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working directly with young people as part of an existing Youth Justice team. The successful candidate should have experience of working with young people who offend and have knowledge of psychosocial and psychological interventions, Restorative Justice and experience of delivering group work programmes.

As an Alzheimer Scotland Young Onset Post Diagnostic Support Link Worker (YOPDSLW) you will be part of a National Team to deliver a high quality, person-centred outcome focussed service to people newly diagnosed with young-onset dementia and their families.
As a YOPDSLW, you will use Alzheimer Scotland’s 5 pillar model as a guide to deliver high quality PDS to people with young-onset dementia. The model includes understanding the illness and coming to terms with the diagnosis, peer support, connecting and maintaining links with their community along with planning for future care and decision making to develop an outcome focused plan to support their future hopes, desires and aspirations.
This support will be delivered in a person-centred flexible way at a pace that suits those receiving the service and ensures their voice is heard, along with equipping people living with dementia, and those who care for them, with the information, strategies, connections, resources and plans they need to live as well as possible, preparing for a period of supported self-management.
Supporting our Glasgow locality, the post will be based within Alzheimer Scotland Bridgeton Brain Health and Dementia Resource Centre. You will be an effective team worker and have the skills to build and maintain relationships with colleagues both within Alzheimer Scotland, the NHS and other stakeholders.
Creativity and innovation are encouraged to ensure that we strive to continually improve the way we support people living with dementia and their families.
Skills in using digital platforms are essential as we use a blended approach to support people that involve some virtual meetings and on-line groups.
