Are you a welcoming, supportive and engaging person, passionate about inclusive learning and play, and ready to use your skills to create a safe, fun and respectful educational space for children from diverse ethnic backgrounds?
Govan Community Project provides a holistic range of support for individuals and families in the asylum and refugee community. Our Homework Clubs are a community education project, primarily designed to support children and families with lived experience of seeking refuge/the asylum process to better understand and engage with the Scottish school curriculum. We are recruiting a Homework Club Facilitator to support the Primary-age group (6-12yrs+).
You will be responsible for supporting and facilitating two after school club sessions for primary school aged children each week, creating and maintaining a safe, supportive and positive educational environment for participants to engage with their school work and academic development. The role also includes co-planning/facilitation of a range of formal and informal enrichment activities, including for the Spring, Summer and October school holiday programmes. You will also ensure the sessions and activities best meet the needs, learning levels and interests of attendees.
