Role

Help shape the future of one of Scotland's leading veterans' charities.

Royal British Legion Scotland has been supporting Scotland's Armed Forces community for more than a century. With over 22,000 members, more than 130 Branches and 57 Clubs across Scotland, we provide comradeship, remembrance, practical support and advocacy for veterans and their families. As we embark on an ambitious programme of

organisational transformation, we are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic National Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence the future of a nationally recognised charity at a pivotal point in its development. As a member of the Board of Trustees, you will help shape the organisation's strategic direction while ensuring it remains financially resilient for future generations.

As National Treasurer, you will play a key role in safeguarding the charity's financial sustainability and supporting the Board in making informed strategic decisions. Working alongside fellow Trustees, the Finance Committee and our Accounts Manager, you will help ensure strong financial governance while contributing to the wider leadership of the organisation.

We're looking for someone who:

• has senior experience in finance, accounting or financial management;

• is confident interpreting management accounts, budgets and financial reports;

• understands financial governance, risk management and long-term financial planning;

• enjoys contributing at Board or senior leadership level (trustee experience is welcome but not essential);

• is committed to supporting Scotland's Armed Forces community and the values of Royal British Legion Scotland.

Previous charity trustee experience is welcomed but is not essential. We are keen to hear from candidates with strong financial expertise who are looking to use their skills to make a meaningful difference.
