Pregnancy Counselling & Care Scotland (PCCS) is an Edinburgh-based charity supporting families and individuals across Edinburgh and the Lothians through pregnancy, loss and early parenthood. Our vision is simple: Nobody is left alone to struggle with pregnancy, loss or early parenthood.
We provide two specialist services that work together to meet both the practical and emotional needs of families and individuals. Our Baby Bank provides free, bespoke baby packs containing essential equipment, clothing and toys to families experiencing poverty, while our specialist perinatal counselling service offers compassionate, professional counselling for anyone affected by pregnancy, baby loss, infertility, birth trauma or the challenges of early parenthood.
Pregnancy Counselling & Care Scotland (PCCS) is seeking new Trustees to help shape the future of our charity as we celebrate 50 years of supporting families through pregnancy, loss and early parenthood.
Through our Baby Bank and Specialist Perinatal Counselling Service, we provide practical and emotional support to individuals and families across Edinburgh and the Lothians.
We are particularly keen to hear from people with skills in
- Finance: we are seeking a new Treasurer to help oversee our financial stewardship and effective financial governance
- IT and digital systems: as effective use of data is intrinsic to all our work
- Fundraising: to help with our income diversification and financial sustainability
- Partnership working: to strengthen our community engagement, such as one of our referral partners
We welcome people who share our values and want to use their experience and perspective to help strengthen our governance, sustainability and impact. Previous Trustee experience is not essential.
