Victim Support Scotland (VSS) provides support and information to people affected by crime and campaigns for victim and witness rights. Regardless of whether a crime has been reported, or when it happened, our services are free, confidential, and tailored to individuals’ needs.

What is the role?

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Locality Manager. Working week will be between the following days and hours:

Monday - Sunday between 8am - 8pm

Salary band: £34,974 - £46,187. Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to review - in line with VSS progression arrangements. A higher salary placing will only be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.

Primary location: DL Building, 7 Scott Street, Motherwell, ML1 1PM. You will be expected to cover throughout LOCALITY/OFFICES.

You will be reporting directly to a Head of Service Delivery and you will be responsible for a team of Co-ordinators who in turn manage groups of volunteers to deliver and evaluate the support to victims and witnesses, our service users, at local court and community-based services.

You will be responsible for ensuring, within your services, that VSS’s organisational objectives are being implemented at a local level and have a role in business planning to ensure that all service users within your local area are aware of, and have access to, the support they need.

Additionally you will be responsible for all aspects of people management for staff in your area, ensuring that employees and volunteers are supported, knowledgeable and capable to deliver the support that meets service user’s needs.

You will bring experience from a similar role and a commitment to your own professional development. As a confident and supportive leader, you will know how to motivate others, build trust, and drive performance. You’re comfortable working with data gathering, analysing, and presenting insights that help shape decisions. You believe in fairness and inclusion with the confidence to challenge discrimination, bias, or stereotyping when you see it. Alongside this, you have a solid understanding of the voluntary and charity sector, and be willing to work flexible hours, and be prepared to travel when necessary.

The Dewar Arts Awards is seeking a Charity Co-ordinator to help manage and develop its programme of support for talented young people in Scotland.

Are you an organised, energetic professional with a passion for supporting the next generation of creative talent in Scotland?

The Dewar Arts Awards is seeking to appoint a new Charity Co-ordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Chair, you will be the main point of contact for applicants and award holders across Scotland, helping them access funding for their artistic development. You will help support a programme that has provided funding to more than 1,300 young people since the Awards were established.

About the Role

This is a flexible and remote part-time position (averaging 17.5 hours per week). While day-to-day duties are carried out from home, you will need to attend four main Trustee meetings each year, alongside key stakeholder meetings, typically held in Edinburgh or Glasgow. Because our work is focused primarily in the Central Belt, this role is ideal for someone living within a two-hour travel radius of these cities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Applications and Nominations: Handle nominations received by email, prepare applications for Trustee meetings, circulate required financial and communication papers, notify applicants of decisions, and update partner organisations.
• Managing Awards: Setting up paper and electronic files for successful awardees, arranging payment of awards (primarily by BACS), keeping accurate records, and following up each year with successful awardees to secure annual/final reports.
• Trustee Meetings: Organising four Trustee meetings each year in Glasgow or Edinburgh, securing venues and catering, scheduling meetings, and creating agendas in consultation with the Chair of Trustees. The role also includes progressing matters arising, promptly producing and circulating minutes, preparing AGM documentation, and ensuring the Annual Report & Accounts are ready for approval at the August meeting.
• General Administration: Respond to enquiries, maintain award schedules, submit signed accounts to OSCR, liaise with advisers, manage tenders, maintain backups and statutory registers, purchase supplies, and ensure timely invoice payments, in adherence with GDPR.

Package & Terms

• Salary: £23,000 per annum (reviewed annually)
• Hours: Part-time, 17.5 hours per week (flexible hours, though workload varies across the year)
• Holidays: 15 days / 105 hours inclusive of bank holidays, taken flexibly
• Location: Remote (Scotland), with meetings in Glasgow/Edinburgh
• Prerequisites: Two references, a Disclosure Scotland check, and the right to work in the UK.

Dog Aid Scotland

Dog Aid Scotland is celebrating its 70th anniversary of creating and protecting loving homes across Scotland. The charity helps keep dogs with their owners whenever possible and when that’s not possible, we find dogs new homes, giving them hope for a future.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a long-standing charity entering a period of growth and investment with a focus on helping many more dogs and their owners. The charity will look to increasing the scale of its work, significantly increasing awareness of the importance and impact of Dog Aid Scotland while ensuring financial sustainability through fundraising and income diversification.

Role Description

The Head of Income and Engagement is responsible for diversifying and growing Dog Aid Scotland’s fundraising income streams as well as overseeing the charities strategic communications and marketing activity. Reporting directly to the CEO, the postholder will develop and deliver a comprehensive Income and Engagement Strategy that ensures sustainable income growth, deepens supporter engagement and increases awareness of this long-standing charity. As well as working at a high level, this will be a hands on, operational role which is expected to work directly with donors and lead on fundraising activity.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of Income and Engagement Strategies aimed to grow income sustainably and significantly increase awareness of the charity
• Grow income from individual giving, regular giving, fundraising events and legacy giving, whilst looking to develop further income streams such as major donors, trusts and foundations in future.
• Develop strong donor journey that's engaging, from recruitment and stewardship to longer term donor retention.
• Create and deliver engagement strategy focused on growing brand awareness, deepening engagement and understanding of the charity, its impact and services.
