Exciting opportunity to join Our growing Quality & Performance team in a Senior Leadership role

We are looking for a passionate leader who cares about making a difference to people and communities we work in. As a Quality and Compliance Manager you will support clinical governance, quality assurance, innovation and quality functions across the organisation. Your role will be to support operational services to remain compliant with legislative standards and best practice and to demonstrate clearly-evidenced quality standards and positive outcomes through audits, inspections and compliance monitoring. This is a predominately a Scottish home-based role however you will be required to travel between Scottish services to offer ad hoc support and annual auditing alongside additional meetings across the UK will be required, this may be inclusive of overnight stays.

About you

You are based in Scotland and are able to work as part of a team to ensure we continue to work towards achieving and demonstrating quality service

You will have skills and experience to support the mobilisation of Care Inspectorate registered services to implement high quality service models, interventions and pathways.

You will have people care and communication skills including telephone manner, tone of emails and letter writing and able to convey information clearly and accurately

You will have excellent management skills, able to prioritise, organise and schedule activities and resources to ensure achievement of results

You will have an understanding or experience of the Care Inspectorate and Health and Social Care Standards.

You will bring either relevant; lived experience, work experience in this field or hold a relevant qualification. Most importantly you will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and flexibility to this new and exciting role.

The Role

The Intandem Co-ordinator will be responsible for the delivery of our intandem family mentoring service, making a positive difference to care experienced children and young people, who are in kinship care.

The post holder will recruit, train, and support a team of volunteers to mentor children and young people in Kinship Care. By providing mentors this will give this vulnerable group of children and young people the best start in life. The role will include line managing sessional Intandem family mentors who will work with the family to develop goals-focused Whole Family Approach mentoring plans – covering emotional/practical support; coaching/advice around family relationships/child development/parenting skills; harm reduction.

As well as managing sessional staff and volunteers, the role involves engaging with young people and their parent/carers to build relationships and likewise engage with other professionals for joint agency referrals, support, and evaluation. The post holder will contribute to the national intandem programme to record and monitor outcomes and to deliver best practice, as well as work towards developing the evidence base for mentoring young people in Scotland.

Street Connect is a Christian organisation with a mission to offer hope and opportunity of recovery for people disadvantaged by addiction, homelessness and poor mental health.

As a Projects Worker you can contribute to profound and lasting changes in the lives of highly vulnerable individuals. In 2023/24 working with our church partners, Street Connect benefitted over 2,166 people overall with 806 people receiving support through one-to-one appointments or groupwork, with 160 of those individuals receiving formal key work support, and we supported 16 entries to residential rehabilitation. Our participants report stability and improvements not only in their recovery from drug and alcohol problems, but also in their living skills and situations, social skills and relationships, and in their physical, mental and spiritual health and wellbeing.

The focal point of the role of Projects Worker will be in supporting church partners and volunteers. Our experience has shown us that working closely with partner churches to deliver support within communities is a successful way for people to access the support that they need. We currently have Street Connect partner churches and projects in Glasgow city centre, Royston, Clydebank, Paisley central, Paisley Kilnside, Greenock, Motherwell, Dunoon and Wishaw. As we continue our vital work in each of these areas our aim is to grow into new communities and allow as many people as possible to access the support they need.

In this role you will be part of the Street Connect team seeking to develop and deliver community recovery support through a range of different routes to both male and female service participants who have a background of complex needs such as addiction, homelessness, and mental health issues, who are now at different stages in their recovery journey. This will include both those in aftercare who are living independently and free from such issues and those at an earlier stage in their recovery.
