If so, we invite you to join our team as the Housing Team Manager for our brand new Recovery Housing service, across Aberdeen city centre, opening in Autumn 2024.

As the Housing Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the establishment and management of our Recovery Housing service. You will be supported to manage a small team which consists of a Recovery Housing Worker, Volunteers and Student placements, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive support services to residents.

The role

  • Providing leadership and support to a Recovery Housing Worker, Volunteers, and Student Placements.
  • Collaborating with the Dayhab Service Manager and wider colleagues to develop the new service(s) in Aberdeen City.
  • Engaging families, partners, and the wider community to increase visibility and understanding of recovery.
  • Working with the Scotland Management team to identify opportunities and support the growth of specialist housing provision in Scotland.
  • In addition to managing the Recovery Housing Worker, you will manage a small caseload yourself

About You

  • Experience of the substance use sector, housing or related field (2 years +)
  • Some experience of line managing others (staff, sessional staff or volunteers)
  • Confidence in building relationships with other professionals and to maintain the excellent reputation of Phoenix Futures.
  • The ability to be innovative and flexible in order to meet the needs of the service and work in a fast paced service.

The Service

We are opening an exciting new Recovery Housing service which will have multiple houses/flats based across Aberdeen city centre and are currently in the final stages of procuring these. Your office base will be in the city centre, however there will be a need to travel to the houses across the city. You will manage a small team providing tenancy support and delivering group work and 1 to 1 in our city centre office base.
