Role

Committed to Ending Abuse (CEA) is seeking a Children and Young People’s Independent Domestic Abuse Advocate to join our existing team.

The post holder will carry a case load of those clients who are at risk of abuse and trauma and in need of advocacy support in relation to issues such as parental contact with the abusing parent, Children’s Hearings and other relevant interventions in which they need support.

The post holder will work supporting children and young people, providing safety planning, practical, and emotional and signposting support.

Applicants will have the ability to engage with children and young people, establishing relationships, eliciting views and aspirations so that children and young people’s views are accurately represented.

Preferred candidates will have wide ranging knowledge and experience of both Advocacy and Domestic Abuse/Trauma. Advocacy will take place at an individual, community and institutional level.

The post is based in our premises at Wellside Place in Falkirk and will commence as soon as possible. The post holder will require successful PVG clearance and will be expected to work closely with the adult and children/young person’s team. The post will be managed within our Stage 3 Community Services.

Please note that all annual leave must be taken during Falkirk Council school holidays as the post-holder must be available during term time to meet with children and young people.
