Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire (WASLER) have delivered domestic abuse services across South Lanarkshire for more than 30 years. We provide an outstanding level of service provision to support the needs of women, children and young people who have experienced, or are presently experiencing domestic abuse.

We are seeking to recruit a suitably experienced, qualified and skilled woman to fulfil the role of Specialist Worker within our Refuge team - 22.5 hours per week over Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

The Specialist Worker – Refuge will provide a high quality and specialist support service to women living in Refuge working to ensure their safety and recovery. Applicants must also be qualified to SVQ level 3, or equivalent in a relevant qualification and registered (or willing to register) with SSSC. We are looking for a part time prevention worker (21 hours)

The overall aim of this post is to deliver interventions to young people around healthy sexual relationships using the Rape Crisis Scotland sexual violence prevention pack, and to develop local strategic approaches to sexual violence prevention.

Salary:£18,280 increasing to £19,678 after 1 year in post (FTE £30,467 increasing to £32,796)

Hours:21 hours per week (Part time)

Funding: This post is currently funded until 31 March 2027. Continuation beyond this date is subject to future funding being secured.

Location:Dundee & Angus Outreach

Annual Leave: 38 days + 5 public holidays per year (FTE), increasing to 42 days + 5 public holidays after 4 years of service. (This will be pro rata based on a 21-hour working week.)
