Argyll and Bute Women’s Aid (“ABWA”) is a specialist provider of support to women, children and young people who are currently experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse.

We provide safe temporary accommodation in our refuge, crisis support, advocacy, phone, virtual and outreach support.

We are a committed team of Support and Accommodation Workers ensuring the women, children, and young people we support are able to live a life free from abuse.

Support Service Team Leader Full time post (35 hours)

Role Due to a retirement and service development we are looking to recruit a new management team for Argyll Bute Women’s Aid. (ABWA)

The successful Team Leader candidate will have experience of supporting and managing a team and will have a calm and focused approach to service delivery and problem solving. Working in our busy, fast-paced and challenging environment, you must be capable of navigating competing demands on your time, while carrying out day to day direct line management responsibilities for our experienced and dedicated support staff, and will have experience in providing direct support services to vulnerable people. Our ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, solution focused individual with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to motivate others.

Successful candidate will have a passion for improving the lives of women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse. Applicants should be qualified appropriately in order to register at the appropriate level for a Housing Support Service with SSSC or be committed to achieving this qualification. They will have a passion for improving the lives of women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse and experience in providing direct support services for vulnerable people.
