About Women’s Aid

Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire are a charity registered with the Office of Scottish Charity Regulator, we are set up to provide support to women, children and young people with experience of domestic abuse.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Trust & Grants Fundraiser to join our team based out of our East Kilbride office. You’ll join an inspiring team who do exceptional work to support the most vulnerable women in our community.

We fully support flexible working and this part time role (21 hours) can be considered across a range of working patterns. Upon completion of probation and training hybrid working is also offered.

About You

You’ll have a proven track record of fundraising success in a professional capacity. You may be seeking to return to work or looking to secure a role where you can make a difference. You’ll have the ability to work on your own initiative and have great attention to detail. Experience of researching, identifying potential funding opportunities and applying for appropriate funding is essential. The ability to seek funding to develop new areas of work to enhance services to women, children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse Is an area we wish to develop further.

About the role

Typical duties will include leading on the development and Implementation of WASLER fundraising strategy, raise funds In line with annual targets, Identify and research potential funders to support existing services and develop proposals for new and innovative services. The role is varied and fast paced. The successful candidate will therefore have to be able to prioritise tasks and manage competing priorities as well as a methodical and well-organised approach to workload. Attention to detail is essential. This is a stand alone position reporting to the HR & Business Support Manager.

We are looking to recruit a MARAC Admin worker (21 hours) to provide a comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to ensure the effective running of the team.

MARAC (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conference) is a regular meeting to discuss how to help victims at high risk of murder or serious harm. The meeting is attended by domestic abuse specialists who discuss the victim, the family, the perpetrator and share information.

The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of Microsoft IT packages, have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team. The ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality is essential.

The salary is £23,740 per annum FTE. This is a part time post (21 hours per week) and is based at our East Kilbride office.

Cedar Group Work Coordinator

Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire is a domestic abuse service operating across South Lanarkshire & East Renfrewshire.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to introduce, develop, co-ordinate and facilitate CEDAR ( Children Experiencing Domestic Abuse Recovery ) group work programme in East Renfrewshire.

The successful applicant will be experienced in supporting women, children and young people who have lived with domestic abuse and have a proven track record of working with a wide range of partner agencies in achieving strategic outcomes.

You will be enthusiastic and committed, with an ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences and advocate Women’s Aid South Lanarkshire and East Renfrewshire’s feminist philosophy and mission.

CEDAR is a 12-week therapeutic group work programme for children and their mothers recovering from domestic abuse. The programme provides a valuable and important intervention promoting the recovery of children through strengthening the mother child relationship.
