Role
The Church of Scotland is looking for a Net Zero Implementation Director to lead the delivery of its commitment to achieve Net Zero carbon emissions by 2030. This is a unique opportunity to take on a national leadership role, driving forward a bold and urgent sustainability agenda across a large and diverse organisation.
Working in close partnership with colleagues across all entities of the Church, the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for the Net Zero strategy and its implementation. The role will involve inspiring, influencing and supporting stakeholders at all levels to ensure a coordinated and high-impact approach to achieving absolute carbon emissions reduction.
The Net Zero Implementation Director will act as the Church’s principal advisor on all aspects of sustainability. The postholder will support compliance with UK climate policy and best practice, while developing and delivering clear, measurable pathways towards Net Zero. A key aspect of the role will be aligning the Church’s mission with its operational practices, embedding sustainability into governance, decision-making and day-to-day activities.
The ideal candidate will be a credible and experienced leader with a strong track record in sustainability, climate strategy or a related field. They will bring excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, along with a deep understanding of UK climate policy and carbon reduction frameworks. The ability to work across a complex and multi-layered organisation is essential, as is a strategic mindset combined with a practical, delivery-focused approach.

As a national public body, Children’s Hearings Scotland is one of a number of dedicated organisations that work as part of the Children’s Hearings System. This care and justice system is unique to Scotland and exists to protect the safety and wellbeing of infants, children and young people nationally, and ensures their rights are upheld and protected. CHS recruits, trains and supports around 2,300 volunteers to ensure children’s hearings take place.
CHS want to recruit a Learning Transformation Manager, a national role, to both lead teams creating and delivering learning, and enable CHS to transform to a digital-first approach to learning. Reporting to the Director of Positive Outcomes, the role will lead the implementation of a refreshed 5-year Learning Strategy, including driving digital transformation and strengthening the CHS Learning Academy brand. The postholder will build on existing foundations to enhance learning across CHS, using innovative and flexible delivery methods to increase engagement. They will deliver a comprehensive national curriculum for our volunteers, ensuring high-quality training that supports children’s rights and meaningful participation from those with lived experience of the hearings system.

This role will involve carrying out a range of administrative tasks for our UpStream youth counselling team in Glasgow. Tasks include responding to enquiries from members of the public and participants, managing appointments and referrals, supporting the team with publicity and communications, and helping gather and organise data for monitoring and evaluation.

Anne Hope House is a therapeutic centre for women with multiple complex needs. Our holistic programs support them in their efforts to reintegrate into longer term accommodation and community.
This post is restricted to female applicants in order to reduce barriers of access for the all-female residents.
We are looking for a Project Worker, who will work as part of a team seeking to meet the practical, emotional and spiritual needs of women with multiple complex needs. As part of a team you will ensure the smooth daily running of the therapeutic centre and help to create a safe supportive caring and empowering environment for service users.
Your main tasks include leading group work and supporting residents on a one to one basis. You will also provide appropriate emotional and practical support to service users assisting in budgeting, debt management, addiction support, household routines, arranging specific specialist help and liaising with other external agencies.
Experience of working with vulnerable and homeless people, experience of working within a team and the ability to deal appropriately with challenging behaviour are essential for the role.
SVQ3 in Social Care, Promoting Independence or equivalent as listed by SSSC as appropriate for a Housing Support Worker, or willingness to work towards this is essential.
