We are looking for a Strategic Communications Lead to develop and implement our communications strategy, engaging a wide variety of audiences. Collaborating across teams, you’ll oversee media relations, storytelling, digital campaigns and stakeholder engagement to ensure MCR’s voice is heard by a wide variety of audiences and inspires action.

About the role:

The Strategic Communications Lead oversees a small communications and campaigns team to create, build and deliver spectacular multi platform campaigns and communications activities. The role is crucial in managing both internal and external communications, enhancing public engagement, supporting partnerships staff in mentor recruitment and supporting fundraising activity aligned with the mission of bridging the education, skills and opportunity gap for Scotland's most disadvantaged young people. The role involves strategic thinking, creativity, operational planning and delivery.

Key responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver an integrated communications strategy aligned with our goals.

- Lead media relations, securing impactful coverage and managing key relationships.

- Oversee content creation, including digital, social media, and campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging.

- Act as brand guardian, ensuring clarity and cohesion in all communications.

- Provide strategic advice to leadership on key messaging and public engagement opportunities.

- Powering our drive to be recognised nationally, and loved locally and regionally in the communities we serve.

As a worker and Collective Manager at Clydebank Women’s Aid, we are all trained to the same level and have access to the same training opportunities, and Clydebank Women’s Aid will invest in your personal and professional development. With this, we do not have the expectation that you already have completed specific qualifications. Instead, we ask that you will be willing to work towards and gain an SVQ that meets both the standards of Clydebank Women’s Aid and the SSSC. Child Bereavement UK helps families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies.

We support children and young people (up to the age of 25) when someone important to them has died or is not expected to live, and parents and the wider family when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying.

We provide training to professionals in health and social care, education, and the voluntary and corporate sectors, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

Child Bereavement UK has an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to lead on the provision, evaluation and ongoing development of a Scotland-wide Bereavement Support Service that ensures families and professionals can access high-quality bereavement support when a baby or child has died, or when children or young people are bereaved. The Bereavement Support Service Lead will also support the strategic development of the Charity’s services in Scotland.

In this role you will:

• Lead/manage/contribute to and further develop the provision of a blended model of bereavement support across Scotland
• Provide training, consultancy, and support for professionals whose work brings them into contact with bereaved families
• To collaborate with partners to develop bereavement support services across Scotland.
• To support Child Bereavement UK’s Fundraising Team in the generation of sustainable income to fund our Scottish operations, providing information and data to support applications and reporting.

A regular presence at our offices in Finnieston, Glasgow will be required initially, once established hybrid working is available.

About the role

Carers Scotland is seeking a Senior Employment Manager to lead our work in supporting unpaid carers in employment and employability. The role includes managing and leading the Carer Positive scheme and Employers for Carers Scotland. You should be passionate about supporting unpaid carers to enter and remain in employment, where they want to start or continue their career. A confident, self-starter you should have considerable experience of managing programmes and projects, as well experience of income generation, including preparing bids for project funding. A strong network within the business community and an understanding of employment practice would be an advantage, as well as experience in public speaking and training. A good team player is a must.
