This role is specific to those who are in recovery themselves or have lived experience of the Justice System.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our new service Peer lead service. The Recovery Oriented Justice service has been established by South Lanarkshire Council to support individuals placed on Structured Deferred Sentences via the Alcohol and Drug Problem Solving Court.

Sacro will work in conjunction with the existing Recovery Oriented Justice team to provide speciliased support where required. The service will adopt an assertive outreach approach and as such you will be supporting individuals within their own communities to build hope, social capital and establish support networks.

We work in partnership with South Lanarkshire Justice Services, NHS, and any number of other agencies to provide the best possible service to the people we support.

You will assist in the delivery and development of the day to day running of the service under the direction of the Team Leader and Community Justice Manager. You will be responsible for the management of data relating to the people we support and liaison with other agencies.

All posts require the ability to use initiative and organise workload within a pressurised environment. Knowledge of the Justice system, problematic substance use, and the complex needs that those in the Justice System may face is necessary. Knowledge of services available in South Lanarkshire area would be an advantage. Relevant experience within Justice services as well as partnership working is desirable. The successful applicants will be flexible and proactive in their approach and confident in their ability to assist those who access the service.

Experience in Social Care would be beneficial. A relevant qualification at SVQ level 3 or equivalent is desirable but not required as training will be provided. Membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) will be a requirement for this post. Along with satisfactory references.

This support at times may cover Saturdays and may also be out with normal business hours, you must be prepared to commit to this.

A driving licence will be required and access to a vehicle with appropriate business insurance.

What is the role

We are recruiting for multiple Relief Support Co-ordinators to support our team across Scotland. Relief Support Co-ordinators provide cover over weekdays, evenings and weekends. Shifts are offered when they are available, but there is no obligation to accept work.

We are looking for Relief Support Co-ordinators to cover one of the following localities:

• Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders locality
• Highlands and Islands locality (Inverness, Wick, Tain, Lochmaddy, Oban, Stornoway, Campbelltown)
• Central Scotland and Fife - Fife, Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, Falkirk, Stirling and Clackmannanshire (Alloa)
• South West locality - (Areas: Ayrshire, Dumfries/Galloway, Inverclyde, east Dunbartonshire west Dunbartonshire Argyle& Bute)
• West locality - (North and South Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire)

Govanhill Law Centre is seeking a dedicated Legal Clerical Officer to join our team

Govanhill Law Centre is a free and confidential legal resource for the Govanhill community. We are a charity and employ qualified solicitors (charity no. SCO30193). We are a branch office of Govan Law Centre and through the legal practice Dailly and Co. Solicitors we undertake expert legal advice, court and tribunal representation in Scotland. Govanhill Law Centre is funded by the Scottish Government, Oxfam & supported by Govanhill Community Development Trust, Govanhill Housing Association and UNISON. We provide legal advice on housing, employment, benefits, education and consumer matters to clients by way of appointments and drop-in surgeries. We can assist anyone living in the Govanhill area, with a focus on enforcing the rights of minority ethnic communities and in particularly the Roma community.

The Role:

The Legal Clerical Officer will provide essential administrative and clerical support to the solicitor and caseworkers at the Govanhill Law Centre. The role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of legal processes, maintaining accurate records, and offering a high level of client service. This position is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and an interest in supporting legal services for the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administrative Support: Perform general administrative duties, including filing, photocopying, scanning, and handling correspondence (post, email, telephone).
• Client Communication: Manage front desk reception, answer telephone calls, and handle initial client inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
• Document Preparation: Assist in drafting and formatting legal documents such as letters, forms, and court submissions under the direction of solicitor.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files, case management systems, and databases.
• Scheduling and Diary Management: Organise and schedule meetings, appointments, and court dates for solicitors and caseworkers.
• File Management: Ensure case files are organised, archived, and maintained according to legal and regulatory standards.
• Other Duties: Perform any other clerical or administrative tasks as required to support the law centre’s day-to-day operations.

Street Soccer is a charity using football to create lasting change in the lives of isolated and excluded adults and young people. We run 60 sessions a week of free, inclusive and judgement-free football. These sessions provide person-centred support to players facing a number of challenges including mental health, homelessness, long term unemployment, problem substance use, criminal justice and seeking asylum. Our mission is to create hope and opportunity for all.

We support thousands of players a year on their journey to positive change by providing a safe space, trusting relationships and a sense of belonging. 97% of players think that Street Soccer is a unique organisation. With 15 years of experience delivering positive change through football, we are now working in more communities than ever, with city hubs in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen and South London, as well as a network of sessions across 6 other local authorities.

Role Purpose

In 2020, Street Soccer developed ‘The Network Programme’ to expand our services out of our four main city hubs to serve the local communities and socially disadvantaged groups across Scotland. The Network Programme has quickly expanded and now operates in 7 different local authorities across the country. Having already supported 500 people in these areas.

As we continue to expand, we would like to grow to offer Street Soccer Sessions to the communities of West Dumbartonshire as well as providing opportunities for people to engage in SCQF qualifications, tournaments and events including The Homeless World Cup.

The Programme Co-Ordinator will be responsible for developing the Network Programme within West Dumbartonshire. Responsible for sourcing and managing suitable venues for sessions to take place. They will recruit and work with partners to ensure players get the right level of support across a variety of issues. They will grow the number of players attending sessions by promoting these across the community in a variety of ways.

An enthusiastic person, the Programme Co-Ordinator will be able to build relationships with a series of communities across West Dumbartonshire. They will also work with the Fundraising Team to establish local opportunities for sponsorship and other support.
