The Role
You will support individuals to sustain and maintain their recovery and support with re-integration into the wider community by facilitating 1:1 and groupwork. You will assist individuals in developing their own skills, including tenancy sustainment and practical living skills, in the next stage of their treatment and to resettle within the local community and society. This will also include working as part of a team to provide quality accommodation and support services for vulnerable adults within a safe and secure environment. Additionally, you will be the lead with the Recovery Through Nature (RTN) programme within the service, supporting all RTN work within Glasgow.
As well as supporting the individuals in our services you will support family members and loved ones of the individuals that access the service and assist and facilitate family support groups for those that are accessing Phoenix services.
The Glasgow Housing service currently provides ongoing aftercare support for individuals on completion of a range of residential rehabilitation stays, and therefore you will assist all clients in sustaining long-term recovery.
The Service
Our Glasgow Housing Service is a supported accommodation consisting of 10 flats, housing up to 16 individuals. All our residents have completed a residential rehabilitation programme prior to entering the service. Tenancy sustainment skills and maintaining their recovery is at the forefront of what the service provides. Residents will stay at the service for up to 6 months in preparation for moving to their own tenancy and living independently. We also provide an aftercare service to ensure the transition of moving into their own house is a smooth as possible and the individual continues to receive the support they need.
