Role
As a youth worker with CYP, your primary role will be contributing to the planning, delivery and evaluation of CYP’s youth provision. The job role is based in Callander, although may at times require travel to the surrounding area. This role is initially for a fixed-term of 12 months, although it is hoped that funding can be secured to allow the continuation of this role.
The core elements of this role will be:
- Planning, delivery and evaluation of our weekly after-school groups for P6, P7 and S1-3 ages.
- Responsibility for several weekly 1-1 or small group sessions with referred pupils from the local high school.
- Planning and delivery of summer holiday activity programmes.
- Supporting the delivery of employability work with young people who are either employed or undergoing training within our social enterprises.
- Any other tasks to support or develop CYP’s youth provision, as identified through discussions with your line manager.
The role will normally be two set days per week (Mondays and Tuesdays) to accommodate our regular provision schedule, in addition to a flexible half-day for planning and paperwork. This half-day may be available to work from home, if preferred. Working days may vary from time-to-time for occasional or one-off sessions (e.g. Christmas trips or weekends).

The DRC Youth Project is a modern youth service which offers safe spaces and supports young people. In doing this, the new group worker will liaise with relevant bodies as directed with a key focus on prevention, employability and in some cases, recovery. The group worker’s core function is to offer a variety of information and support that will help fulfil the personal development requirements of each young person. The group worker will equip the young people to meet life challenges and in particular allow them to access employment and a career path within their own aspirations and capabilities. To achieve this, the post holder will continually engage with young people utilising various DRC Youth Project resources and key specialist partners. The post holder will also support the DRC management team in the day to day running of the project’s various youth provisions.

LAYC is recruiting a Project Worker to support the delivery of accredited learning and youth awards, with the network of community-based youth and children’s Member Groups within Edinburgh and the Lothians.
The post will be based at LAYC and will have a Lothian wide remit.
The post will be fixed for an initial period of 2 years at 18 hours per week on a salary scale of £26,788 - £30,751 pro rata, plus access to a 7% employers contribution pension.

About the Organisation
St Paul’s Youth Forum (SPYF) aims to alleviate the worst effects of poverty in the Blackhill/Provanmill area of Glasgow through our programmes focusing on Eating, Education, Exercise and Empowerment.
Purpose of the Role
As part of our programme to ensure that everyone can get ‘On Bikes’ we are looking for an SPYF Bike Mechanic who will help SPYF meet its aims and vision. This will compliment wider Scottish Government policies to encourage people to actively travel instead of using private cars for transport.
The Bike Mechanic will specifically support our partnership with North Glasgow Homes (ngh) with additional support for other projects headed up by On Bikes. This will include the Free Bikes Project, the Cycle Friendly Schools Fund and the SPYF On Bikes social enterprise shop at the Hogganfield Loch.
The post holder is key to ensuring the relationship between St Paul’s Youth Forum and ngh is positively maintained, and as such work will include not only mechanics, but also a variety of Active Travel community engagement activities dependent on the postholder’s skill set.
A crucial part of the role will also be to work as part of the wider St Paul’s Youth Forum team to build referrals and add value to other projects and activities which we run, increasing overall engagement of the wider community and maximising the ways we can help fulfil local need.
This post will entail some evening and weekend working.

The DRC deliver drop-in and structured sessions, where young people can access a range of activities and support, including issue based-workshops, health & well-being focussed activities and trips, weekly football and cycling sessions, gardening and food growing, and digital learning activities. We work closely with young people and partners to develop activities and services on offer, and to ensure that young people have a safe space in their community to contribute, grow and learn. Young people are at the heart of everything we do, and our aim is that every young person we work with is empowered to live their life to its fullest potential.
