Big Hearts is welcoming applications to join their staff team as Fundraising Partnerships Manager.

As part of the charity’s Development Team, this brand new role will focus on developing our corporate network and generating further unrestricted income through successful engagement with stakeholders.

It’s an exciting time to join Big Hearts’ journey in changing more lives through the power of football.

You will get to shape this role alongside our CEO, Leadership team and Trustees as part of our strategic plans to deliver innovative, high impact fundraising partnerships.

In conjunction with the Head of Fundraising & Communications and our closest stakeholder and partner Heart of Midlothian football club, the Fundraising Partnerships Manager will co-design and establish a new corporate philanthropy approach for the charity.

You will be part of a dynamic team who work together to generate a six-figure annual income for the charity through ticketed events, public appeals, engagement campaigns and corporate partnerships.

This is a great opportunity for someone with transferable skills who would like to develop their career in fundraising or business development, and work for a growing third sector organisation linked to a Scottish Premiership football club.

This is role is for you if you are:

● Not looking for a 9-5 role, but willing to build your own working week around priorities and opportunities

● A communicator of the highest standard, comfortable networking in various environments and at various strategic levels

● Self-driven and proactive with an analytical mind to identify fundraising opportunities

● Creative, flexible and willing to think outside the box to build bespoke partnerships

● Confident, outgoing, approachable and enjoying connections with other people to improve community outcomes

In a typical month you will:

● Connect with existing partners to report on impact and identify further fundraising opportunities

● Introduce Big Hearts to businesses and design proposals for mutually beneficial partnerships

● Attend a couple of events organised by business partners or charity/football networks

● Plan a volunteering day at Tynecastle Park for employees of a corporate partner

● Approach business contacts to secure sponsorship for the annual Big Hearts Gala

● Meet with the commercial team at Heart of Midlothian to identify joint opportunities

● Assist in planning a host of events and appeals with colleagues in the Development Team

● Represent Big Hearts at Tynecastle Park on match days alongside charity and club staff
