The Organisation:

Montrose Community Trust (MCT) is a pioneering charity that leverages the power and appeal of football to transform lives within the Montrose community. Established in 2012, MCT has demonstrated unwavering commitment to supporting residents through a variety of impactful projects. These initiatives engage individuals across all age groups, addressing critical issues such as ill health, disability, unemployment, poverty, isolation, and dementia. Through its efforts, MCT aims to foster a sense of belonging and improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable members of society.

MCT is dedicated to promoting positive change and enhancing public awareness of key social issues. The charity’s vision is to create a healthier, more inclusive society where everyone can thrive. By engaging with 10% of the local population, MCT’s programmes make a significant difference every day, highlighting the charity’s effective approach in reaching and impacting the community.

MCT’s core activities include:

  • Community Engagement: Running football-related projects that bring people together and improve community cohesion.
  • Health and Wellbeing Initiatives: Offering programmes aimed at enhancing physical and mental health.
  • Education and Training: Providing learning opportunities and skills development to help individuals achieve their potential.

The Role:

We are seeking a visionary leader to join Montrose Community Trust as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This pivotal role involves developing strategic direction, securing diverse funding streams, and fostering key partnerships to drive MCT forward.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for community development and the skills necessary to lead MCT into a successful future. The CEO will be instrumental in shaping the organisation's strategic vision and ensuring its sustainability.

The successful candidate will:

  • Develop and implement MCT’s strategic plan in alignment with the charity’s mission and vision.
  • Drive fundraising efforts and secure funding from diverse sources to support MCT’s programmes.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, football organisations, and other relevant entities.
  • Lead and inspire a dedicated team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Represent MCT at events and meetings, advocating for the charity’s mission and values.
