The Role:
We are seeking a visionary leader to join Montrose Community Trust as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This pivotal role involves developing strategic direction, securing diverse funding streams, and fostering key partnerships to drive MCT forward.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep passion for community development and the skills necessary to lead MCT into a successful future. The CEO will be instrumental in shaping the organisation's strategic vision and ensuring its sustainability.
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and implement MCT’s strategic plan in alignment with the charity’s mission and vision.
- Drive fundraising efforts and secure funding from diverse sources to support MCT’s programmes.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, football organisations, and other relevant entities.
- Lead and inspire a dedicated team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Represent MCT at events and meetings, advocating for the charity’s mission and values.

YMCA Dumfries is a Scottish registered charity. We provide and support quality programmes aimed at developing the body, mind and spirit of each member; young person, volunteer, board member and member of the community.
YMCA Dumfries operate a centre in the heart of the community where we have our youth centre and YMCafe. We offer a wide-ranging programme of activities all year round through our dedicated staff teams and volunteers. Our programmes are delivered through grant funding.
We work closely with our wider YMCA family within Scotland, Europe and around the world where we partner with other YMCAs, sharing programmes, connecting young people and learning together.

We are seeking a CEO to lead the organisation, demonstrate relevant strategic leadership and management experience and shape and steer the charity’s future vision. Applicants should evidence at least two years of managerial experience, be able to cultivate strategic partnerships and generate grant funding.
Community Development Manager

Reporting to the Board of Directors and Trustees, the role of the Community Development Manager is to lead the Trust in the delivery of our key priorities to make Clackmannan a better place to live, work and visit. The Community Development Manager will lead a small team and be the focal point for community engagement and profile of the Trust, exploring options for service delivery and enhancement, and grant funding opportunities.
Strategy and Leadership
- To work with wider local partners in the voluntary, third, and public sectors to support the delivery of the Community Action Plan.
- To explore opportunities for the Trust to expand and enhance the services that it offers to the local population and visitors.
- In conjunction with the Board, develop and deliver an agreed Development Strategy, linked to the Community Action Plan.
- To build new and strengthen existing social connections in the community.
- To represent the Trust at events and meetings.
Community Engagement
- To interact with community groups, residents, and stakeholders.
- To engage and develop the number of volunteers required to support the Trust’s activities.
- To develop and deliver a programme of community events.
- To produce a bi-annual community newsletter, and monthly bulletins.
- To promote and market the Trust, using a range of media.
Governance
- To work with the Board of Directors to ensure that the Trust meets all its legalobligations.
- To develop, maintain, and enhance all policies and procedures governing the Trust’s activities.
- To provide the Board with regular reports regarding performance and delivery of services against the Development Strategy.
Staff Management and Leadership
- To manage and lead a small staff (currently two) in the delivery of the Trust’s objectives.
- To maintain good communication, consultation, and decision-making structures with and amongst staff.
- To support staff development and capability through regular assessment, training, and performance.
Finance
- To identify funding opportunities and prepare funding applications to secure the financial wellbeing of the Trust.
- To interact with Funders and provide information on costs and delivery of projects.
- To work with the Treasurer on the day-to-day financial management of the Trust, ensuring that financial controls and processes are adhered to.
Young Persons Counsellor/Art Therapist

The Role:
We are seeking to recruit a suitably experienced Young Persons Counsellor or Art Therapist to deliver one to one support to children and young people aged 5-26 years of age.
Through therapeutic support, the post holder will build young people’s confidence and self-esteem, enabling them to better cope with their individual challenges.
Suitable candidates for this role must have worked with young people under 26yrs in a therapeutic setting, ideally having some experience of working with children aged 5-18yrs, and have a broad understanding of the difficulties young people face.
The post holder(s) will receive regular support and supervision with Space Head of Community & Connections, and external clinical supervision to discuss caseload, the cost of which will be paid by Space.
The successful candidate will hold a qualification in counselling or art therapy and be a registered member of BACP/UKCP/COSCA/HCPC or equivalent body.
Work with young people will take place in various schools across Edinburgh or at The Broomhouse Hub. As this post involves working in various locations a full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is required.

Wellbeing Together South West Partnership
This role is part of the Wellbeing Together South West partnership, which has been set up to offer early support to 5-24 year olds, and young people who are care experienced aged up to 26 years.
Focused on mental health, wellbeing, and distress, the free services within the partnership will be delivered by four community organisations – Space @ The Broomhouse Hub, SAMH, Big Hearts Community Trust and With Kids.
With funding from the Scottish Government, this partnership aims to provide support at the earliest opportunity to prevent mental health challenges developing for children and young people and reduce the need for them to require intensive mental health services.

About the role
The team at ACOSVO seek a Member Services Officer to deliver support with membership and carry out work which supports our Members and services. With guidance from the Development Manager you will undertake work to maintain and develop our member services and occasionally projects. Customer services skills are required as you will be communicating with our Members and other people and organisations.
This is a fixed term role for 6 months, working 20 hours per week.
The working location for this role is hybrid working from home or our workspace at Greyfriars Charteris Centre at Pleasance Edinburgh. There may be occasions when you will work at other locations within Edinburgh and the central belt and these times will be arranged in advance.
We are happy to talk about flexible working such as location and when the hours are worked within our core hours of 8am-6pm Monday to Friday.
Please note that this role is not suitable for less than 20 hours or as a job share.
