Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Professional who is looking for a new challenge. WithYOU is at an exciting point in our journey. This post will have a high level of input and involvement in future business development opportunities that withYOU will explore. The successful candidate will work closely alongside the Head of Development to ensure the organisation is able to respond to tender opportunities, develop new service models and maximise income generation opportunities. The post will be part of the highly skilled Development Team.

We have ambitious plans for the future and are keen to expand our work into other areas across Scotland. As part of that, we are in the process of finalising a rebrand and new organisational name. We are also in the process of a large-scale transformation of our services and operations.

Critical Role elements of the Development Partner – Business Development

Support the delivery of key business development priorities, including:

  • Prospect Management & Pipeline tracking
  • Bid Management
  • Solution Build for new contract opportunities
  • Income generation opportunities, including trust and grants
  • Work closely with Development colleagues to design, develop and implement new models of service delivery
  • Bring commercial acumen to ensure that we can develop our existing services to meet the needs of people and commissioners, replicate existing models, and develop new models to meet new needs of People, commissioners and funders.
  • In collaboration with the Head of Development and Service Managers, create and maintain locality Growth and Development Plans.
  • Contribute to the development & implementation of the strategic and operational plan.
  • Work with SLT, Managers, and staff teams to develop modern, effective, and evidence-informed ways of working, policies and procedures.
  • Take a lead role in coordinating the organisation’s response to Tenders and Funding applications, overseeing solution build and bid management processes. Actively take on writing proposals, responses and applications and be able to lead virtual teams of colleagues in responding to new opportunities.
  • Undertake regular mapping of landscapes, ensuring we are aware of external trends, competitors, and possible partnerships and that we quickly identify opportunities to develop or grow and respond to these opportunities in an efficient and agile way.
  • Represent the organisation at external events and maintain organisational relationships with stakeholders.
  • Actively build relationships with stakeholders that support our work.
  • Commitment to the development of your learning and practice within Business Development.
