Anne Hope House is a therapeutic centre for women with multiple complex needs. Our holistic programs support them in their efforts to reintegrate into longer term accommodation and community.

This post is restricted to female applicants in order to reduce barriers of access for the all-female residents.

We are looking for a Project Worker, who will work as part of a team seeking to meet the practical, emotional and spiritual needs of women with multiple complex needs. As part of a team you will ensure the smooth daily running of the therapeutic centre and help to create a safe supportive caring and empowering environment for service users.

Your main tasks include managing a case-load of support clients: assisting them in their stay by key working them, assisting them set and meet goals leading to resettlement. You will also provide appropriate emotional and practical support to service users assisting in budgeting, debt management, addiction support, household routines, arranging specific specialist help, liaising with other external agencies. Experience of working with vulnerable and homeless people, experience of working within a team and the ability to deal appropriately with challenging behaviour are needed for the role. SVQ3 in Social Care, Promoting Independence or equivalent as listed by SSSC as appropriate for a Housing Support Worker, or willingness to work towards this is essential.

Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to come and join our team as a Residential Worker based in our new Chestnut Wynd house for young people. Situated in West Granton, our newly-built house provides a safe and nurturing home for up to five young people aged 15-21 and a range of modern facilities and wellbeing spaces designed to help them grow, develop and make a successful transition to young adulthood.

As part of a team you will work closely with the young people we live alongside to provide the daily care and support they need and the advice and guidance to manage their health and wellbeing, independent learning and living skills, education and training needs. We are looking for a new Supervising Social Worker who can play a lead role in developing and expanding our work. To do this you will:

• Provide direct support to our current foster carers
• Co-lead the recruitment, assessment and training of new carers.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing day-to-day leadership & guidance to our payroll and financial management service teams to ensure accurate, seamless, efficient, and timely execution of our payrolls in accordance with UK laws, regulations and company policies, and drive process improvement/standardisation across payroll activity.

Our Payroll Team currently provides a comprehensive, computerised payroll service for an average of 650+ Personal Assistant Employers who are employing around 1,000+ Personal Assistants per month. The Personal Assistant Employers figures continue to increase at a steady rate. The number of PAs employed fluctuates monthly.

The Financial Management Service provides financial support of holding bank accounts in service users’ names to ensure that they can access SDS care packages. This service means that we ensure all payroll is paid on time and correctly, we also support the service user with the management of this account. The number of service users can also fluctuate however, an average of around 150-200 service user’s access this service per month.
