Role

Y2K is a community-based youth organisation, based in Mayfield Midlothian. We provide a wide range of youth work services and opportunities that aim to improve the lives of local young people, through the delivery of holistic, youth led services. Our aim is to support young people to feel health, happy and valued members of the community.

We are seeking a flexible, dynamic, highly motivated youth worker to join our team. The health and wellbeing youth worker, will be responsible for delivering a range of person centred supports with young people 11- 18 years of age. They will work with referred young people on a 1:1 basis and small groups, in schools, the Y2K youth project and other community spaces, to work towards improving their overall health and wellbeing. The Health and wellbeing youth worker will also work with the wider youth work team to deliver a range of informal drop ins and group work activities, over evenings and school holiday periods.

Drivers licence and access to own vehicle is an essential requirement of this post.
