Bridges Project is a leading youth work charity that helps young people aged 12-25 in East Lothian and Midlothian overcome challenges and adapt to adulthood. Since 1984, we have helped young people develop their life skills, improve their educational attainment and move into employment or further education. We have a vacancy for Young Ambassadors Coordinator to be responsible for overseeing and supervising Bridges Project’s Young Ambassador Youth Participation programme.

The successful candidate will:

  • Ensure young people feel safe and supported to take part in activities that aim to put them at the centre of power, voice and agency
  • Formalise a youth participation programme of youth-led strategy, influencing and campaigning activities
  • Design, develop and run a programme which empowers the group to have greater control over the decisions that shape their lives

This is a new and exciting position in which the successful candidate will take pride in empowering the Young Ambassadors to achieve wider impact for young people and make systematic and structural changes.

It is essential that candidates have a full, clean driving licence and constant use of a car. Membership of the PVG scheme will be an essential requirement of the post. A contributory company pension scheme is offered with a 10% employer contribution.
