We are looking to recruit a Lead Practitioner in partnership with the NHS and other Treatment providing Partners, for a period of up to 12 months. This service is designed to support participants affected by their use of Alcohol and Drugs as well as difficulties with Mental Health.

The successful applicant will prioritise trauma informed practice, team leading skills and have knowledge or experience of mentoring approaches. Experience of working with a caseload of service users and working to targets are essential. Experience of working in a community environment and an understanding of needs led practice would be an advantage.

The right candidate will have an aptitude for developing and delivering innovative services, including group sessions, and the ability to engage with hard to reach participants on a one-to-one basis. An understanding of local employability pipelines would be an advantage, as would knowledge of the network of support agencies in the Highland area. You would need to demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work in partnership.

It is anticipated that there will be some travel throughout the area therefore a driving license or access to a means of transport is essential.

We are looking for a full time Personal Development Mentor to join our team in the Aberdeen City for 35 hours per week.

The post will present an opportunity to cover our service we deliver in partnership with ABZ Works at Aberdeen City Council, up to 31st March 2025. This service is designed to support unemployed ex-offenders, first time offenders and those of a higher category offending background to progress. The Service has two elements: one being a delivering a Construction based course to a group and the other is offering a 1-1 service to those with an offending background. You will work in partnership with Police Scotland, Criminal Justice Social Work, local construction companies and other agencies across Aberdeen City to ensure all action plans are carefully planned and risk assessed.

Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Digital Skills for Health and Wellbeing Project

About the role:

We seek a part-time (28 hours per week) Learning Coordinator to promote and deliver Lead Scotland’s new Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Digital Skills for Health and Wellbeing Project. This is a learning service for digitally excluded people, including disabled people, carers and those who experience barriers; The role includes engaging with service providers as part of the project delivery.

Are you passionate about using a community-based adult learning approach, supporting people to get online safely and to realise the benefits of digital and online health and care services? Are you confident in communicating one to one and with groups and have a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving? Are you confident in communicating with partners and service providers?

Would you enjoy being an active part of the Lead Scotland team as we develop new, exciting accessible digital learning opportunities?

Do you have great organisational skills, previous experience of supporting disabled people experiencing a range of barriers, of working one-to-one and in groups with learners, and of designing and delivering learning programmes?

Do you have access to transport as you will be working in homes and communities across Aberdeen City and Shire?

One of the key priorities of GamCare Scotland is to reach out to individuals, families, and communities to make it easier to talk about gambling and gambling related harms. This is done by working across the region to engage with underserved communities and ensure everyone can access information and support.

As Outreach and Engagement Practitioner you will be responsible for building effective working partnerships with professional services through the delivery of presentations, networking and creating new referral pathways for those needing support from GamCare services.

You will be integral in making GamCare services accessible as you work within a committed team to achieve this aim.

To meet the needs of the service the role may include some evenings and occasional weekends.

About you

You will be an excellent communicator (written and verbal) and have the ability to present and tailor content for a range of professional and public audiences on sensitive topics.

You will be experienced in community-based work and have the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external, to champion our vision for gambling support across our region.
