Richmond’s Hope will provide a comprehensive induction and training programme which will include training in the methodology of Richmond’s Hope. Working as part of the staff team of Richmond’s Hope (based in our Glasgow office) you will provide bereavement support to children and young people aged 4 to 18 years.

Our Aberlour Early Intervention Family Support Service, based in Glasgow will work in partnership with children and young people (aged 12 years and under) and their families to develop relationship-based, strengths-focused whole family support.
What we are looking for....
We are looking to recruit two Family Support Workers, each working 37.5 hours per week one covering a period of Maternity Leave within the team and the other being offered as a fixed term contract until 31st March 2025. As a Family Support Worker you will develop a person-centred working relationship with your families, based on a model of ‘VOICE, VALIDATION and HOPE’. As a Family Support Worker, you will work directly with families to build on their existing strengths and interests, help children and families build skills and confidence and strengthen community connections. Our ambition is to help children, young people and families feel safe, confident, capable, and included, offering support when it is needed, including evenings and weekends. We believe in working alongside families, empowering them to lead positive change in their own lives in a variety of settings including family homes, schools, and within the community.
We are looking for candidates who are experienced in working alongside vulnerable families to assess strengths and needs as well as plan, deliver and evaluate interventions and strategies which enable families to thrive. You will have experience of child and adult protection issues and of working with children, young people and parents/carers affected by domestic abuse, mental health and/or substance misuse. You must share our vision that collaborative working and relationship based early intervention is the best option for children and families who are feeling overwhelmed or excluded.
Ideally you will hold a relevant professional qualification at SCQF level 7 or above, together with relevant experience of working directly with children or young people and their families.

Barnardo's Lanarkshire Locality has a number of services which provides both generic and bespoke help to some of the most vulnerable children, young people, and families.
In partnership with Scottish Families Affected by Drugs and Alcohol (Scottish Families), we are promoting the Grow Your Own Routes service across North Lanarkshire. This service is funded by the cross-government Whole Family Wellbeing Fund, led by Scottish Families with the support of the Scottish Government's Drugs Policy Division. As part of its growth the service is being rolled out across several local authorities in Scotland. As a delivery partner for Scottish Families, Barnardo's provides this service, within North Lanarkshire.
The service known as North Lanarkshire Routes, provides bespoke support to children and young people aged 12 – 26 years who have been impacted by someone else's drugs and or alcohol use. The service will operate from our Motherwell office but will support children and young people across North Lanarkshire.
The delivery approach focuses on providing a range of tailored interventions through practical support, youth work and evidence-based approaches including but not exclusive to Solihull, Lets introduce Anxiety Management (LIAM) and Mental/emotional health interventions.
We are advertising for a 37-hour Project worker 2 to join our team however applications are welcome from those seeking part time hours. If successful, your role will be to provide support through 1:1 and group activities to children and young people affected by drugs and alcohol. As part of a team, you will work with young people in identifying support needs and gaps, and developing plans to meet these needs.
A strong understanding of the legislation impacting children and young people is required as well as a good working knowledge of wider and local strategies in place to reduce wider drug and alcohol related harms.
The role will involve evening and weekend work. This post covers a large geographical area and therefore a full driving licence with access to a car for the purposes of work is required.

This is an exciting opportunity within Barnardo's for a Family Support Recovery Worker funded for one year with the potential to be extended further. This post is funded by Renfrewshire Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) in partnership with Barnardos Paisley Threads.
The post will be based within CIRCLE (Continuing in Recovery Changes Lives Entirely) – an exciting new Service in Renfrewshire which has been set up to enhance recovery opportunities for individuals affected by alcohol/drugs and/or mental health.
The post holder shall be expected to work collaboratively and holistically with families to develop and nurture strengths both in a group work and a one-to-one setting. Experience of supporting Children, Young People and Families, and of relationship-based practice to work alongside those affected by multiple adversities is essential.
The successful candidate will be required to work with a high degree of flexibility to meet the needs of the service and as such the post holder may be required to work evenings and weekends.
