VisionPK is a charity providing a range of specialist services for those who have sight loss and hearing loss living in Perth and Kinross. We are at an exciting stage in our strategic development, and we are seeking new Trustees to join our Board. We are looking for people who act with empathy, respect and are passionate about our work. It is important that you understand the role and importance of governance in the third sector. We welcome applicants to this voluntary role from people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds and are keen to hear from people with lived experience of sight or hearing loss.

We are particularly interested to hear from people with the following skills and experience:

· Digital / Technology

· Fundraising

· Health and Social Care

Commitment:

The board meet bi-monthly and meetings are hybrid – online and face to face – so this may suit potential Board members who are further afield, although we would like you to have knowledge of Perth and Kinross.

The duration of Board meetings is usually no longer than 2 hours. All relevant papers are forwarded on a reasonable timescale, either via email or posted in hard copy.

Aside from the board meeting, additional time consideration should be given to allow time to read through relevant papers, follow up on any action points, and may involve attending occasional additional meetings, events, or strategy days.

There is also a half day induction session to attend, ideally face to face in VisionPK sensory Hub in Perth. This will provide an opportunity to meet some of the staff and find more out about VisionPK and becoming a board member.

This is a voluntary role, but VisionPK will cover relevant out-of-pocket travel and other expenses that would allow you to attend meetings.

Join our Award-Winning Fundraising Team as a Fundraising Executive within the Philanthropy Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and determined individual with a passion for research and problem-solving.

As a Fundraising Executive, you will provide vital support to our Philanthropy team, contributing to the success of our fundraising initiatives by completing high quality research, plans and network maps to deliver outstanding prospect acquisition and intuitive supporter journeys. You will utilise your excellent research skills to support the Philanthropy Team to achieve their strategic goals.

• Strong analysis and research skills ideally gained within a fundraising environment.
• You will have an understanding of CHAS and the reasons people support us.
• An enthusiasm to get involved in the organisation and delivery of events.
• Proactive approach and the ability to identify opportunities and communicate information to ensure the teams can act upon leads in a timely manner.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Worker to join the multi-disciplinary Family Support Team in the east of Scotland, based in Aberdeen.

Role Overview:

This position offers a unique chance to work alongside a highly motivated and skilled outreach team and in partnership with local services dedicated to providing care and support for babies, children, young people, and their families. You will play a key role in providing a comprehensive social work service to babies, children or young people with life-limiting conditions and their families, focusing on the co-ordination, development and delivery of service provision designed to assist with the issues related to the child or young person’s condition and the impact it has upon the wider family.

About You: We are looking for candidates who have:

• A degree or diploma in social work and registration with the SSSC.

• Relevant post-registration experience working with children, young people and complex family situations where loss and change are prevalent

• Highly developed communication and negotiation skills with the ability to adapt support to meet individual family needs.

• The ability to work autonomously in a varied role.

*Aberdeen, time will be split between the CHAS at Home Aberdeen office, an office within the Hospital working alongside our Diana nurses, in Family homes and working remotely.

Supporting the local community and individuals in Royston, NE Glasgow through the provision of food education alongside improved access to community pantry, fruit and vegetables, and opportunities to take part in food growing activities. Using community development approaches, develop and maintain local food hub group activities aimed at reducing the impacts of food poverty, improving health and wellbeing and encouraging community led responses. Funded by The National Lottery Cost of Living Fund.
